Intersting. Bought a secondhand Tsymbaly made by Tom Chychul today and a search of his name led me here. thanks as always for the music and the historical info.
@@danielcarkner1548 I did have a cassette by him years ago but lent it out and never did get it back..He was a good player.. There were and are many good Tsymbaly players in Alberta ..
@@danielcarkner1548 Actually I checked my photo library and it was a Mike Gargus I did have a cassette of and not Tom Chychul. Not sure if Tom did record or not.. My mistake as got the 2 mixed up..
yes, CJTR 91.3 Regina. Every Monday 2 hours. Brian Sklar (DJ) had Polka hour x2 . But he played mainly the Cleveland style polkas. While the other DJ plays mainly Uke old time. Interesting show listening to such music in 2020! But surprising there's a large following even today.

@@polkadondb305 have only tuned it so far, but it seems like a pretty well made instrument.
