It always amazes me the differences of what works for crab (and other fisheries) in the Atlantic verses the pacific….. Even after changing hole sizes, etc. I’d still have to put a 25 pound weight in the bottom of that thing or it would be miles away from where I dropped it just 24 hours later. Many Pacific pot makers build the frame out of rebar for a reason, and sometimes that’s not enough (such as areas in the inside passage with deep trenches and strong currents)…. Cool video, interesting design elements.
@@3KingsCrabbyAdventures Can these be ordered from a web site somewhere? I live in Panama City florida and I don't want to drive that far just to pick up a few traps.
@@modemfox Hi there sorry for delay in responding. Unfortunately we do not ship traps at this time as it’s very expensive , our website is currently being updated. We are working on having traps that you can easily make yourself and more products that will be made available online as well . Keep an eye out for that . Thank you
Hi there it depends on where you’re crabbing. Traps tend to last longer with zinc but vinyl coated traps do last longer in general so you don’t really need the zinc but if your crabbing a lot the zinc will help the trap last longer
If I wanted to assemble the traps myself could you ship all of the wire sections pre cut and ready to assemble?? I can cut all of the holes myself. Thanks.
Hello we are not currently pre cutting and shipping materials however we have been considering doing something like that in the near future. We have kicked around the idea of building it yourself kits of 1-5 traps . If your talking commercial and need 100s of traps we could do that but would have to figure out the shipping. Give us a call 352-685-2595 Thank you

Man, is that a good dexterity and forearm exercise routine? How do not end up with Popeye forearms at the end of the day?
Haha yes it can be but like everything else you get used to it. Wish it built some kinda muscle 💪
