    Good video comparison. Nicely done. Though there's slight differences between the 2 comparisons, it helps. Thanks for sharing.

    I believe 2.25 is the standard baffle in the 4 inch Slip-Ons. The high-flow performance baffles are 2.5. I guess the 2.5 are a bit louder & maybe a bit deeper as well. What’s the difference in your opinion

    • @teleman9410
      @teleman9410  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You may be correct on the sizes, I just guessed. :-) To be honest, the 2.5's do sound a little deeper at idle but it's not night & day really. The 2.25's sound slightly more "caped off" if that makes any sense. I've never had my bike on a dyno so not sure of any HP/Torque changes. Nothing that I could feel in the seat of the pants. Maybe slightly louder overall, but nothing to write home about. I personally wouldn't spend the money on them again I would've just stayed with the 2.25's. Hope that helps. Ride safe!

      @@teleman9410 That's good info. I have the Xtreme True Duals and the "stock" 4" Slip ons. I called Rinehart support (they are not far from where I live) to make inquiry about the baffles. I also made another call to Rinehart about Dyno Maps for my setup. Total waste of time. I wouldn't purchase Rinehart again at all. I think there are better options especially for the M8 guys. (My bike is a 2016 FLTRU)

    Great job on the video. What kind of tuning did you do when you went to the V&H dresser duals?

    • @teleman9410
      @teleman9410  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I added the Big Sucker intake, the V&H FP3 and the dresser duals all at the same time. At the direction of V&H I used the map for dresser duals with twin slash rounds. I now run a D&D 2-1 Fatcat but it ran great with the duals too!

    • @heybruh3274
      @heybruh3274 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teleman9410 When I called Rinehart about the maps, they were clueless. Glad V&H was more helpful.
      I ended up suggesting to the Rinehart Support tech that I might try several options - and asked his opinion - I think the guy was about to yawn. I ended up using the same map you mention for my Rinehart Xtreme True Duals and 4" Slip Ons. Seems to be working fine. I hope anyone reading this at least has an option or just decides to go another direction other than Rinehart.

    i have a 2016 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide with 4inch Rinehart. how difficult was it removing the old baffle

    • @teleman9410
      @teleman9410  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have any problems, I didn't even have to remove the mufflers from the bike. I just removed the end caps and pulled the baffles out, then replaced with the new baffles an re-installed the end caps. Good luck!

    Great job! Question, did the quiet baffles come wrapped and were you using them exactly as they came shipped?

    • @teleman9410
      @teleman9410  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The quieter baffles are the baffles that come in the mufflers when purchased new. They are not wrapped. Same thing for the larger baffles, they do not come with any packing either.

    • @bonzomoonify
      @bonzomoonify 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your reply....With all respect and appreciation for your hard work on the video, after talking with Rinehart, they were telling me that the 2.25" baffle is standard or the "standard" baffle on the 3.5 and 4" mufflers up to 2016 models. after 2016 they are 2.5" standard. The other thing was the "quiet" baffles were wrapped and there was a "diverter" of some sorts in there...I asked what that would do with low end torque, and he said on the dyno it actually increased in the lower rpm areas... Im wondering if we were talking about the same slip ons, considering yours didnt have the wrap..Anyway, thanks alot for responding and putting out an excellent comparison video! :-) Scott

    • @teleman9410

      That's interesting, I didn't know they offered a quiet baffle. I thought the standard baffles were 2" but as someone else also pointed out they are 2.25". I need to add that to the description so folks know that as well.
      I actually wrapped the 2.5" baffles at one point just to see what they would sound like and they sounded much deeper, not really much quieter but no high end sound at all. I should've taken some video of that when I did it... hindsight, ya know...
      Thx!!

    • @bonzomoonify
      @bonzomoonify 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your welcome!! :-) I actually sent the quiet baffles back today, they are the 2.25 with fine screening tack welded around the baffle holes, then the baffle wrap. On the inside diameter of the baffle there is a disc drilled with approx. 1/4" holes the entire surface of it...
