If you want to work on your Russian accent and to improve your listening comprehension, then this video is for you! It doesn't matter what your level is, because here you won't be paying attention to vocabulary or grammar. All you have to do is to listen to me and to repeat. I'll be reading for you the fragment from the book “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts” by Gary Chapman. (5 языков любви. Translation of Н. Будина)
Instructions for the video:
Better to watch this video twice (03:04 - 06-29).
1. You just watch the video and pay attention to difficult words and to my intonation.
2. a) You listen to how I read one sentence, then you stop the video and you repeat this sentence out loud on your own.
b) You try to read with me at the same time. I’m reading the sentence and you try to imitate me and try to repeat the same sentence at the same time.

Thank you Lina 😀 This is above my level for now but it's always a pleasure to hear the beautiful Russian language. I know, we foreigners, we often complain that Russian is difficult (a language for which, a rule without exceptions is... an exception), But one thing I find very nice and encouraging, is the fact that, you actually recognise the words you have learnt when you hear them (not so evident in English, and probably not so evident in my mother tongue, French). On that point, Russian is an easy language (like Italian or German for example). Which leave us with this conclusion: with the exception of the grammar and the vocabulary (this very, very long words), Russian is an easy language 😂 But, soooo beautiful, well worth the effort. Btw, studying your course on udemy at the moment, and I really enjoy it, thank you 👍
Merci beaucoup Jean-Luc! ☺️ Yesss, you’re right Russian is difficult but it has its own logic and if you understand it, it’ll be easier for you to learn it. Especially when you speak French, you can meet a lot of similar words and some grammar rules.
And it doesn’t matter what your level is, you always can just listen to Russian even if you understand nothing hahaha It’ll help you in future for sure.

That's a good lesson for me. But my level in russian language is too low. On the other hand, i can understand you very well in english so that makes a very good exercice for my english speaking.

The concept by itself is great. The English part seems not like a translation of the Russian one (but this is not a critic to the good job). Very good video indeed.
You’re right, I took the original version of the English book, so yes, the translation sometimes is really different. Not literal for sure.

If you are looking for a book, no matter what level it is, you can download any Russian app (Литрес for example) with books and you will find there enormous amount of audio books ☺️ Also you can listen to podcasts, it also helps a lot!
