It's a myth, because cows, and lamb, pigs usually get tougher in their meat with age, lobster is different and much smaller compared to other animals.

The meat of a large lobster is always tougher and is just about impossible to prepare as tender and sweet as, say, a small shell lobster. The larger they are, the older they are, and the tougher the meat will be.
