Hi Danette, I’m so glad you said out loud what I was thinking on the LongChamp bags from Nordstrom sale. I too picked up the silver bag and the cognac bags and was extremely underwhelmed! The silver doesn’t work for me color wise but I’ll keep it. The cognac bags are is in transit so I should have shortly. Unless they have quality issue I’ll keep those bags as well because I think they’ll be great bags to use when traveling and shopping! I will be ordering the converter kits for both little bags. I know, right!?! The sale didn’t really excite me this time. And a lot of things sold out so quickly - Nordstrom needs to do better. The silver LC didn’t work for me either but my daughter loves it. It’s a good bag and the price was right, so I’m happy to give it to her. I’m supposed to go on a work trip next month so I’ll test the dusty pink ones then. The converter kits are a game changer!! The little pouches make a great crossbody, especially while traveling. I do like the DUYP kit better than the one I just got from Amazon but they’re sold out. The Amazon ones are fine though. I think you can also find them on Etsy.
HI braids are a beautiful addition to your already beautiful self. I do have long chomp bags and I did shop the sale but they were not on my radar because I used my pink one as a boat bag LOLOL, when we go boating I put all the family stuff in it I can drop it in water all the things honestly stay dry and I have put mine in the machine. Last year I bought a grey one and I love it, with this being said I think I am going to pick up the amb er colored one after seeing yours. Hi Danette! I do love Longchamp and have several of the totes, in different sizes! However, I was not excited about the Longchamp bags in the sale this year. I don’t know if it was the color selection or the styles but I was not inspired to purchase any this year. I do notice that Longchamp does seem to make certain bags exclusively for the Nordstrom sale, so I would bet that is the case with the cosmetics pouch. It’s definitely a sale for us but trust me, these brands are going to make a profit 1st and foremost! Also, I love your braids, Friend!😍

I think Longchamp does make certain things specifically for Nordstrom. In Longchamp websites, cognac only comes in the “le pliage green” line. The black glazing on cognac is much nicer than green glaze IMO. The dusty pink is AMAZING. You got a great deal!

Hey pretty lady. I loveeee the cognac color. I had the mini coin purse in that color nd I wanted to get the makeup bag in that color but it was sold out forever. I do have the Barbie pink coin purse and I had the makeup bag but I sold it lol. Im not fond on the pinkish purple set though lol. I sold off so many of my LC pieces, I really only have 3 pieces left now. And all of the actual stores closed down here in PA. Great video dolly 🩷.

Girl I really enjoy using these longchamp pouches. They’re easy and great grab and go bags especially for travel. BUT .. after watching your last video it might fall into that “really like now but cool on later” category for you. HOWEVER, they’re pretty affordable at $100 before a sale so it may be worth a try.
Great Haul. I got the antique pink pouch also and I agree that the quality is a little different but I think that has to do with it being made in China. I have a black one made in China also and the antique pink pouch is close to that one versus my other pouch made into Tunisia. The Nordstrom pouches are all specially made just for Nordstrom. That is the pull that Nordstrom has. They used to fall under special edition items by long champ so they used to all be made in France like all that special edition items but long champ changed that a couple of years ago. Now the long champ items for the Nordstrom anniversary sale are no longer made in France at all.

I had been eyeing that expandable tote during the sale but didn’t pull the trigger. I’m glad to see you review it. I’m surprised they chose a white liner given it’s a travel tote. Kind of forces you to buy an insert to protect the light colored lining
I know, right!!! It seems like a lot of the nylon totes have the white lining (the leather ones I think match the color of the bag .. I think). Luckily they’re easy to clean and I understand they can be machine washed (although I haven’t tried that yet). These are my first expandable totes so I’m excited to see how they work out. They’re still available on the Nordstrom site and there’s another color avail too. The small pouches are sold out though and these colors aren’t avail on the longchamp site (so I think they were made specifically for Nordstrom).

I wonder if the difference in the leather has to do with where the bags were made. Have you checked the tags? The associate at my retail store told me their leathers can vary widely across their international warehouses.
That’s a good idea - I’ll check the tags. I originally thought it might be due to the bags being made specifically for the sale (since these colors aren’t on the LC site). But one of my beautiful subbies, Valerie, says it might be because the bag is made from recycled materials. So I think it might be a combo of that and where the bags were made like you said. The converter kits are a game changer!! The little pouches make a great crossbody, especially while traveling. I do like the DUYP kit better than the one I just got from Amazon but they’re sold out. The Amazon ones are fine though. I think you can also find them on Etsy.
HI braids are a beautiful addition to your already beautiful self. I do have long chomp bags and I did shop the sale but they were not on my radar because I used my pink one as a boat bag LOLOL, when we go boating I put all the family stuff in it I can drop it in water all the things honestly stay dry and I have put mine in the machine. Last year I bought a grey one and I love it, with this being said I think I am going to pick up the amb er colored one after seeing yours. Hi Danette! I do love Longchamp and have several of the totes, in different sizes! However, I was not excited about the Longchamp bags in the sale this year. I don’t know if it was the color selection or the styles but I was not inspired to purchase any this year. I do notice that Longchamp does seem to make certain bags exclusively for the Nordstrom sale, so I would bet that is the case with the cosmetics pouch. It’s definitely a sale for us but trust me, these brands are going to make a profit 1st and foremost! Also, I love your braids, Friend!😍

I think Longchamp does make certain things specifically for Nordstrom. In Longchamp websites, cognac only comes in the “le pliage green” line. The black glazing on cognac is much nicer than green glaze IMO.

Hey pretty lady. I loveeee the cognac color. I had the mini coin purse in that color nd I wanted to get the makeup bag in that color but it was sold out forever. I do have the Barbie pink coin purse and I had the makeup bag but I sold it lol. Im not fond on the pinkish purple set though lol. I sold off so many of my LC pieces, I really only have 3 pieces left now. And all of the actual stores closed down here in PA. Great video dolly 🩷.

Danette, I had to come back and comment on the braids! Girl you look fabulous! I started getting braids 1 1/2 years ago and haven’t looked back! It’s truly the best thing I’ve done for myself! I do give myself about a week out of braids for hair maintenance. Anyway you look fabulous! 😊❤

I got the same cosmetic long champ in dusty rose…and yes, I noticed the difference in the quality of the leather too.
It’s so noticeable, especially to the touch. I wouldn’t know the difference if I didn’t have the green one already. It’s a bit disappointing. Luckily it’s small enough where it won’t bother me (I hope).

Girl I really enjoy using these longchamp pouches. They’re easy and great grab and go bags especially for travel. BUT .. after watching your last video it might fall into that “really like now but cool on later” category for you. HOWEVER, they’re pretty affordable at $100 before a sale so it may be worth a try.
Great Haul. I got the antique pink pouch also and I agree that the quality is a little different but I think that has to do with it being made in China. I have a black one made in China also and the antique pink pouch is close to that one versus my other pouch made into Tunisia.
The Nordstrom pouches are all specially made just for Nordstrom. That is the pull that Nordstrom has. They used to fall under special edition items by long champ so they used to all be made in France like all that special edition items but long champ changed that a couple of years ago. Now the long champ items for the Nordstrom anniversary sale are no longer made in France at all.
Ooooohhhhhhhh that’s so helpful to know!!! I had no clue! I just had a subbie comment that the difference might be due to where the bags are made. I think the green pouch I ordered from the LC site in March was made in France (quality is top notch). It’s a bummer these don’t fall under the special edition category anymore.

I had been eyeing that expandable tote during the sale but didn’t pull the trigger. I’m glad to see you review it. I’m surprised they chose a white liner given it’s a travel tote. Kind of forces you to buy an insert to protect the light colored lining
I know, right!!! It seems like a lot of the nylon totes have the white lining (the leather ones I think match the color of the bag .. I think). Luckily they’re easy to clean and I understand they can be machine washed (although I haven’t tried that yet). These are my first expandable totes so I’m excited to see how they work out. They’re still available on the Nordstrom site and there’s another color avail too. The small pouches are sold out though and these colors aren’t avail on the longchamp site (so I think they were made specifically for Nordstrom).
The mini bags are so cute but I think I need the longer one in congnac to match other travel luggage!

I wonder if the difference in the leather has to do with where the bags were made. Have you checked the tags? The associate at my retail store told me their leathers can vary widely across their international warehouses.
That’s a good idea - I’ll check the tags. I originally thought it might be due to the bags being made specifically for the sale (since these colors aren’t on the LC site). But one of my beautiful subbies, Valerie, says it might be because the bag is made from recycled materials. So I think it might be a combo of that and where the bags were made like you said. I can see the difference in at least the grain on the Longchamp. Interesting. Like I said, Coach did do that Nordstrom exclusive on the Cassie. Maybe it was a similar situation. 🤔 Compromising on the quality isn’t good for the brand.

I got the Delina 3 pack set - I kept the exclusive and gave my girls the other two. And girl the DK deodorant is always in rotation. I got the Kopari set in the sale and it’s garbage 😩. Don’t waste your time if you were considering it lol!

The sizes of the Large and Expandable (when zipped smaller) aren't exactly the same. I prefer the Large size for everyday use.
