Its just an aid that allows you not to pay fee initially but later when you find the job. you'll be paying 100% fee.

For preparation you don't have to do much, practice easy LeetCode questions or find the example questions on MIU website. Based on your performance on test and your academic bg they will decide your initial pay
If you are very much disciplined about your study and job.. then you can manage both. But if you are someone who wants to do everything from having fun, playing sports then you may not have enough time for it. From 10-3:30 you will have classes.. other time is yours to have. What ever you want to do.. but you should at least give 3 hours each day to complete assignment and sometimes more.

How will the embassy accept this low amount as a self fund student? I see even fully funded students deposit around $40.000 for a bank statement. How much actually will be? Did you applied for another universities as well? If they ask why only this university?
Tell them it’s first year expenses only.. Going to pay later the remaining fee.. tell them about your sponsors, parents or anyone who will help you pay, they will not like if you say i am paying by working..

What amount did you put in the bank statement? Uni asked me to put 5000+ 2000 . Will this be sufficient for the visa interview?
Put at least to cover that amount that should be sufficient

You don’t need to pay anything until your visa is approved. Apart from application fee.

Yes you can apply to other university as well..
