These might be neat but most 'solar' models aren't practical. Most only generate between 1-2 watts in the sun, which means that for a powerbank of 10,000mah, it's going to have to sit outside for at least 3 days of sunny weather just to even get close.
Bottom line?
Just get a cheaper high capacity battery such as a ROMOSS 60. Which is 60000mah.
Or better yet get a REAL solar panel rated at 50 watts that's foldable, and take it and a large capacity powerbank.
I did my ROMOSS 60000 with a 100watt aimtom brand panel and got it from 0 to 100 after a full day and 1 hour early in the morning.
Lastly. Keep an eye out. People steal these things.
Or maybe go a bit out of your budget and don't settle for just one solar panel, I personally like the extra solar panels that work with the built-in one
@@abskhairoun Absolutely. In principle these are fine but they aren't practical. I hook mine up to a small solar panel and it takes about 3 days.
I think you can get faster more efficient ones with crystal lithium etc
@@annychest718 I've found using a cheap 25 watt solar panel works wonders! A MOOLSUN 25 watt solar panel only costs 60$ and is more than capable of charging most phone batteries. This panel is neat because it not only has a solar intensity indicator, but can be chained together to make large solar array!

The ones that have 1 solar panel are worthless, because will take days to recharge. More panels more speed on charge. Is a matter of mha power
I really tried to love the 2 I bought (different brands worth $30 average). If you want to charge it solar, goodluck, even in a very sunny and hot day, it takes 24 hrs under constant sunlight (so go chase the sun) up to 60 hrs to FULLY charge it. So I charged my devices while it is under the sun (devices under a shade of course) and they only charged 50% after several hours (I need to use it after missing it for about 5 hrs). Maybe I got the wrong solar power banks...they said it should have several panels rather than one. Ill buy one when they get it better in the future. I still use em, but I charge it by plugging into a wall...which really defeats the purpose of it all.
Most important is that it can give you some power if you have nothing left, and you are stranded.
@@NickPaulsen not if its fully drained and then pray it charges like its as advertised. Otherwise, its nothing but an excess, useless weight since it is also way heavier than a normal powerbank.
Yes, you are right! the single panel on the bank is like just for decoration. That's why they ever tell you how long it takes to charge it solar. An additional foldable 4-panel will help to speed up the charging. Got one myeslf, will see how long it's gonna take to fully charge my power bank.
@@frankxu5671 i also have the 4 solar panel. I left it with the 4 panels spread in all their glory near a window where the sun shines almost 6-8 hrs a day. I left it with 1 bar of charge. Almost 2 weeks later, it did charge...1 bar became 2 bars...for over a week...it charged by 1 measly bar. I complained. The company refunded it, they did not even ask for me to return it. That just tells me how much this solar crap is worth to them.
Let me know how yours pans out. I will never buy another solar battery pack.

I think depends on quality of the solar panels, I've had bad solar chargers before but we're cheap, finding a balance between cheap enough for my budget and getting a decent charge for the amount of charging time
