my vinyl collection dates from around 1978 thru the 80s until CDs took over. Still using the same British-made Rega turntable - solid glass platter (shear mass assures proper speed is maintained), belt drive for motor isolation. Been through a few stylus over the years.
Those late 70s, early 80s live concert recordings are the best. There is excellent stero separation and the instruments are spacially located. The ambiance is like being transported back in time - such as listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young when they were at their peak, and they take time to rap with the audience between songs.
Thing about a vinyl collection of music is that it can hang with you through time. Music in the cloud is ephemeral. The popular sites come and go, artist get dropped from catalogs, etc. Will a playlist still play in fourty years? Probably not.
And with vinyl the lyrics will often being on the album cover or sleeve. And the art work of some of them is intricate and symbol ladden. Even viewing the cover from different angles reveals additional detail (have a Moody Blues cover like that). And groups like Yes used very talented fantasy artist. Where is the incentive these days to bring all that multi-discipline artistry together into a single artifact of art?
Kind of surprising that vinyl now outsells CDs - which are on a rapid fade - but then it's not.
People like tangible things to connect with.

I just found a sealed copy of Ariana Grande - K Bye For Now with crips edges and got it for $55 after negotiation cause it wasn’t moving. I still can’t believe I got it. They are out there for cheap, just gotta continue with the vinyl hustle

Built in speaker?!? Why would you integrate a speaker in a record player, risking the needle to skip if you turn up the volume? Since when is mono the new standard? And even if this has stereo speakers buikt in, they are too close to eachother that you won’t hear the stereo effect. This device is absolute crap!
