Then they began putting up good seasons once every 5 years. This is a signature franchise of the NFL and they hold one Superbowl Ring from 4 decades ago. That's just pathetic on every level possible.
This is why Get Up is FAR, FAR, FAR better than First Take. Not idiots screaming over each other, genuine conversation and intelligent hosts all around.
I agree with Dominique. As a Bears fan, I didn’t even want them to chance running another play, I’d rather they kicked and missed than fumble and end the game. Flus needs to go, but not for that decision
Cairo Santos kicks with a low trajectory, especially at distance. Being closer means a higher trajectory, he’s also never missed under 45yds with the bears, why not try to get a couple extra yards to make it as much of a chip shot as possible.
All I’m saying is Matt Eberflus didn’t just start coaching like this he’s been coaching like this also ESPN and every other network had this guy as coach of the year 😂
How hard is it to call a quick run. Tell the RB to try to get 8 yards then run out of bounds or dive then call a TO if they get tackled. They had plenty of time left on the clock to get a few yards before kicking.
Two plays could have been ran. A quick boot with max protection & an inside run between the tackles with Roschon then spike the ball. Guaranteed at least 5-10 yards closer
“This is more about what you thought about Eberflus before then what happened in this specific moment.” Well said Foxworth! Eberflus is not a great coach, and will probably be fired at years end, but to blame him for the blocked punt is asinine.
I don't understand why this is an issue. The kick was blocked! Lol. They could've been on the one yard line and this was still going to be the outcome. We gotta hold the lineman that let that man through accountable for that, not the coach
Criticizing the outcome instead of the rationale, per usual. Dominique is right. They didn’t need a big play here because they already had them and were in position to win.
The Bengals and 49ers look to be out of playoff contention, the Chiefs lost, the Lions put up 52, the Steelers just keep winning, and somehow they found a way to talk about the Bears for 10 minutes.
Believe it or not Chicago has a big fan base just like Buffalo and Dallas. New York as well but the Giant's suck and Aaron Rodgers should retire after this season.
Dan Campbell has relied on a rookie kicker to make a game winning kick twice. He opted to kill the clock rather than try getting a few extra yards. We don’t hear about those decisions because Detroit won. Why are we not criticizing Campbell?
The distance of the attempt on the field goal doesn't matter if it gets blocked - 20 yards or 60 yards - it's all the same. Now, if the kicker had missed, you could call out the decision. But in this case, distance didn't matter.
The Packers knew that Santos kicks it low from that far out. They expected the Bears to try and get closer. The Bears didn’t do that though, so they prepared for a low kick
Eberflus played the safe/scared card! As a Bears fan I am fed up with him. He needs to go. Also, Jeff Saturday needs to not give coaching advice. His time as a head coach was a joke!
Dom be calling folks out! He know Greeny is all about headlines and absurd takes and that’s exactly what he would’ve did If something bad would’ve happened on that play instead of taking a field goal attempt
they're talking about a lame duck coach not even _trying_ to get closer for a higher percentage FG attempt because he coaches scared and has no idea how to manage late game situations.... especially in a season where kickers are wilder than ever we're seeing guys shank kicks of all distances every single week, to have all that time and not even want to try for extra yardage is weak, and the Packers ST unit knew from that distance Santos' kicks come out with extra low trajectory, their ST coach told them before the game they were gonna block one that day.... opposing coaches scout the Bears ST better than they know their own unit, and Eberflus is a complete bozo..... that's what they're talking about
@@mattcarberry368 only thing I agree with they could of ran another play. But last week Broncos field goal got block and they was closer. So, why everybody acting like they wind experts lol. O line didn’t block. That’s the problem
Fire Eberflus ASAP. And If the 49ers let go of Kyle Shanahan at the end of the year, Chicago should send a private jet, lease a Gold coast villa for him to move into and Make every concession possible to get him to Chicago. Shanahan never had a QB with CWs potential and CW never had a coach like Shanahan. The ceiling of that duo potentially could be MJ getting Phil Jackson as his HC.

Wow. That is a stupid take by Foxworth. FFS. The Bears were averaging 5.3 YPC vs GB. Caleb was averaging 7.8 Yards per Carry. You cannot tell me the Bears wouldn't have benefitted from a 5-7 yard difference. Idiotic talking heads.
Start over?? The only hole on the team is the oline. Let’s stop pretending this is a bad team. The gm has built a good team. It’s just in a really tough division with a rookie quarterback and a subpar head coach. Get a quality head coach and the team will be competing
Bears will win multiple games the rest of the season. Give me a break. They should be 6-4 right now if not 7-3. Defense is good and offense is improving with new coordinator. They lost 2 games against playoff quality teams on a Hail Mary and a blocked field goal.

For the Broncos last week the FG was even closer.
