I agree with you, the 6 don turn is such a pivotal flex point that opting to just have it be a nico robin play is lackluster. I've been running 2 banish zoro in my builds to play on 6 and then on the next turn, play the nico robin to trash life and then swing 7K banish with zoro and 8K banish with leader. It's very punishing when people are expecting you to just yamato that turn instead. Another 6C card I like in this deck is Lucy from OP07, when you're at 2 or less life, you may take your top life to your hand, rest a 4C or less, and then add the top of your deck to your life. Since we are typically sitting at 2 or less life for the majority of the game he virtually is netting you an extra draw per turn, a way to rest blockers and other freshly played small bodies, and a 7K statline to boot to avoid Ben Beckman's effect.
Don't get me wrong I have banish zoro in my deck and when you can get the Zoro/Leader/Robin off it feels great, but it is very tough to get off especially against meta decks like Doffy. When they Jozu zoro it just feels so bad. Its best against decks with no removal or like Shanks which has trouble removing 7k bodies. Then you have to prtect life because you do not want to be forced to play yamato next turn because you have to heal.
@@vamptcg I am on the fence about trash mom, she has no counter and I feel like I would rather just play Robin and get the guaranteed trash. Might try testing it.
@ I agree, like I said it's a pivotal flex point in the deck and it's better to have more options for the 6 don play than to just let it be solely for 6C robin. It's always gonna depend on the matchup deciding what's best, either slower or immediate value out of the card you play that turn. I also run 2 Bracchio bombers in my deck to ramp for free and KO Jozu on the clapback lol
Hey i really loved that you are playing ranked when you are show casing these matches, really bugs me when people just play regular matches because the other people can easily be unskilled or new, but ranked there's a level of competition in it.
I try to bring some level of competitiveness and see if the deck holds up. I also usually toss games that don't include opponents optimal plays. Labor of love
I think Kikunojo is super bait in Robin. Sure it's a card to pitch but with 5 life leaders, I don't seem much value in it

Personally I've been a fan of 6 trash mom can do same thing but usually they'll counter your first swing so you can 6 mom nico they lose 2 anyways

@hailmary25 they would trash 2 from hand otherwise which is great for the banish effect and puts em big behind on cards
