I bought the original Adaptalux on the post and yes ... What should I say? Adaptalux is significantly more expensive, but also light years better! Absolutely no comparison to the cheap stuff!
I would do it again and again and can only recommend Adaptalux to everyone!

I bought the Falcon Eyes, it's ok-ish. I agree with the observations in the video. An alternative is a led light/panel with colored gels. Less versatile than the Falcon Eyes but only a bit more expensive and much brighter.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It took a month and a half to get here but I finally got it. Great value compared to the alternatives. Can't wait to use it.

Thanks for the review! I do Macro and close-up and this is the answer to working in tight spaces.

Thanks for the review. IMO, the Adaptalux is for the pro or prosumer looking to earn some money. This product would be for someone like me an amateur who likes macro and not looking to have images published. Great video.

I need something that is pretty bright .I am taking g macro shots and flower shots with a totally black background. I lower my ISO to 100 ,crank up the Fstop to 13 and shutter speed to 1/200. That gives me a black image. But,if I use lights, I can get great images but I need very bright light(s). Have you tried anything like this? If so, are these bright enough? You're so right about the Adaptalux brand. They are almost $300 U.S. for 2 lights, the paid and diffusers..Ridiculous price. Thanks for the review.

I don't think they are that bright TBH, sounds like you would really need an off camera flash setup for that. These are more suitable for a f/2.8-5.6 aperture range.

I'm still waiting on a product to bridge the gap between these price points. Something modular that isnt 780$ for just the housing unit.
