And when you get to the focuses that can't be done until 175(?) days after the previous, I usually just use that time to buff the five year plan stuff, or airforce/army focuses to try and get the buffs down quickly, until you hit Lessons of War I think. Or just rush the expansion side of it and gobble the baltics quickly.

Well because Allies can't hold france and Soviets would need to kill poland to have a border with germany. Also the debuffs the soviets get are pretty heavy early on.
Mostly because 39 Barb IS stupid from both sides, the Soviets cant really push in 39 (they can actually heavy push withou suffer a lot of consequences in mid 42 with Barb) and the Germans cant actually push without a min-max build, or at least not in a way that make worth it (same with the soviets) If someone thinks he can push in 39 or 40 as Germany or Soviets, they can try, its very difficult, not impossible and almost always end in a disaster, like we can see in this video
I like the games where things don't go "historical", they seem way more fun and people have to think more creatively. So I actually like it when you "don't play the game"
The ones where they don't go "historical" are great for youtube videos, but that is only the good ones that you see. There are many games where someone tried a weird strat that absolutely backfires and the game is over almost immediately, which isnt very fun for all of them as they had planned to have fun playing hoi4 all night but instead it ended early and all of the early game buildup they had was pointless.

This was the first game I watched from Goldens perspective and after he recovered from being robbed of his navy, he started making the best calls and had such a good game. Was such a good turn around - Axis fought on a razors edge and honestly I think they won just because they had better morale than the Soviets and Allies
Bo never shows us Braun or Thomas being assholes so it always feels like Bo is the villain of the episode with his cockiness. We see Golden be salty, we never get to see Thomas
Thomas has a few villainous moments but I think he’s just a generally more reserved person so even if he is going to do something salty he won’t be as open about it. Braun has absolutely had some salty moments but I think that sometime a few years back even he was like “maybe I need to tone it down a bit” and he made an effort to be less aggressive. Ever since then he’s come a very long way and is now pretty far from the saltiest of the bunch.
Me too but I think since I don't know anyone who plays the game it seems impossible where to start, also you need all the expansion not even mention the 6 hours to play the whole campaign which would be least of a problem haha
@@davids8127 You don't need all of the expansions, if the host has it you get to use them while they're hosting, for the other people HOI4 MP is more approachable than any of the other paradox games because there's dedicated minor and major countries, even if you do poorly if you're like Brazil or Bulgaria people won't care much and there's not that much to mess up.
