Amazing! Thanks for this wonderful recipe. What would be ur suggestion for cook time on a bbq grill?

Thanks. I have never cooked this Salmon recipe on BBQ grill, but as it is very hot and as salmon is so delicate, keep a close eye on salmon as it should be cooked in no time at all. Timing will vary as the size of fillet varies. Best way to know if Salmon is cooked is to check the internal temperature of the thickest part and remove as soon as it reaches 145°F/63°C. If you don’t own a thermometer, check with a fork, it should flake easily without any struggle. Hope this helps.

Where can u get salmon fish in India???

Finding Salmon in local Indian fish markets might be hard, but you can still try. You can find it on online stores though like BigBasket. If you are unable to find Salmon in India, you can use this recipe with Rawas (which is also known as Indian Salmon) which is easily available in Indian fish markets.

I kept it for 10 mins it did not grill and became watery what was wrong

Hi Vidhya, Firstly make sure you are using the GRILL setting and not the oven setting. There can be a few other reasons for it to become watery. For the marinade to stick to Salmon always pat Salmon completely dry with a kitchen roll from all over before applying the marinade. Always use THICK curd / dahi / yogurt to make the marinade, it shouldn't be watery or marinade might just flow off while grilling. Try and use fresh Salmon; if you are using frozen Salmon thaw it properly in a refrigerator before continuing with the recipe and dry it completely with kitchen roll as frozen Salmon will release more moisture and make marinade watery. Also, make sure you are using the GRILL and not the oven and PRE-HEAT the grill at 485°F/250°C before placing the Salmon in. I have written a detailed blog on my website about Tandoori Salmon (www.ovalshelf.com/post/tandoori-salmon) which includes tips and tricks, frequently asked questions and step-by-step instructions with photos, which you can have a look at. Hope this helps.
