    Something was definitely up with that poor moose. I would have called local park rangers and notified them.

    The moose probably has brain worm parasites, which is quite common with them. She may also just be hiding from the bugs. Either way, they are incredibly dangerous animals.

      Maybe alert a park ranger, they usually put the animal down if they can find it

    The moose events may be helpful for the local Fish and Game or Park Ranger to be made aware of. She seemed as you said very distressed possibly ill. I dont know if theyll do anything but perhaps they can treat her or put her down so its not spread to other animals.

    The whole time you were taking the path through the woods you had me on the edge of my chair I was just picturing the moose being in the woods and you walking upon him or her. You had me so afraid for you girl. Good girl Sadie you listen to your mom. Good to see you haven't been able to watch too many videos . Take care stay safe and God bless you and Sadie

    Circling by animals is usually a sign of some sort of neurological issue. Be safe out there. Smart to be aware of such a large animal. I am completely impressed with Sadie’s recall. When that moose came out on the road when you were hiking, I couldn’t have recalled my dog if I had a filet mignon! Lol.

      Yeh! That behavior is just like a vid I saw on maybe Nature channel Conservation Officer was called n had to put down They can be aggressive even though sick I would definitely callpark ranger No need for the animal to suffer !

    Yes, Post 10 had made the same comment about the Moose up in the Eastern US that some moose have been found to have brain worm and vets can give them medication for it, they mistakenly eat the bug up in the trees, just notify or send your video to the wildlife people that cover the area that you were in. Beautiful forest area.

    You are lucky. In 63 when my father and I rode our little motorcyclpes to Alaska we didn't see any Moose till we were almost to Fairbanks. We saw tracks around our little pup tent in the morning sometimes. We took the old military road, all grapefruit size gravel. Glad you are safe. AL

    I have to agree with you about the trees in NY! My son lives near Rochester, and the trees are just so tall and lush! I fell in love with the western NY landscape. I live in the Upper Cumberland Region in Tennessee, which is covered in hardwood trees, and beautiful. But the trees in NY are breathtaking. They are stately giants.

    My sister came across a young moose near Algonquin park in Deep River, ON Canada that was also acting unusual, it was fearlessly coming way too close. She ended up being ( not by choice ) within 10 feet of it and could see it was covered in deer ticks, it seemed weakened. Later someone from the area told her that when they get that heavily infested with ticks they become anemic, sickly, disoriented, then get lime disease and die. That moose also seemed like a younger moose, a mature cow moose is usually much larger.

I will have less to worry about knowing that going in a circle can turn out just fine. I don't see the link for the flexible solar panel tho. What app are you using to track your walk? The moose could have been frantically looking for her calf if they got separated, it died or a predator got it. She would be distraught & searching for days. Another possibility, though rare is rabies. Any animal that gets rabies circles, is disoriented, isn't afraid of people & have seizures. I've seen a deer with rabies. They usually (not never) don't go after people except in their disorientation. Could possibly be some other health problem too. I'm glad everyone gave her a wide berth. You trained Sadie very well!❤️

    I was thinking the Cow moose was distressed going in circles because her Calf is in trouble close by. She was staying close to her baby. But I also hope that there’s not a calf that’s been hurt out there. I live in Wyoming, and I see Moose every time I go hiking. So far, every moose has been like a gentle giant. They know you are there, as they continue to forage. For the most part, they are not aggressive at all. Even the Cows with their Calf will just walk further into the forest.

    I think the moose was trying to get your attention to help her. Maybe her baby was stuck somewhere near. The moose kept looking back at you and running and looking back. I would have been afraid to go near it also. If I had a signal I would have tried to get a ranger or wildlife person out to check out the situation. Did you go look around that area later? I've seen other videos where wildlife seek help from humans. Beautiful area‼ I'm glad u2 didn't run into a bear while running from the moose!!😂 💙🦋💙

Just wondering.. lol Thank you for your hard work and videos. Tell Sadie Thanks too.. ❤

    @sanjuancapo2862 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hopefully you and Sadie are safe from the brain worm and no tick bites..
    People also ask
    What are the symptoms of brainworm in moose?
    Brainworm does not affect white-tailed deer. However, in mule deer, moose, elk and caribou, the worm can affect the nervous system of the animal causing weakness, fearlessness, lack of co-ordination of movement, circling, deafness, impaired vision, paralysis and subsequent death of the animal.
