Great looking boat but too bad they stopped putting in the heavy-duty, flush-mounted, pull-up cleets. Those are such a great feature. I have them on my Monterey Montura 190.

It’s part of a package and too be honest most folks don’t maintain them then complain when frozen shut

Monterey uses plywood stringers and transom so not exactly fully glassed, Jared will tell ya

Where is the like scan tool or scan reader for this boat model?

That is a great question and I am not sure I know the exact answer, I know in the larger Montereys it is commonly under the dash, looks like a White Cap you screw off, I believe it says diagnostic port, I do not think the 224 has the same adapter, my guess is you would hook directly into the engine on the engine harness on the 224.

Is the new 4.5 250 merc enough power for these? Cruising/ skiing and tubing with a few people

The 224 Monterey with the 250 HP Merc is a surprisingly snappy boat out of the whole, the most impressive area is the cruising speed and how quiet the boat rides, you can run 30-35 MPH and have a conversation in that boat, top speed is respectable, pending your load a 45-50 MPH. If a person was to continually run heavy you certainly could go down a prop size or go to a 4-5 blade stainless, this will loose a bit on the top end but your 0-40MPH will be impressive. Overall for the $$$ you can't go wrong with the 224 Monterey with the 250 HP Motor.

Whats the difference between the 224fs and m22?

The M Series from Monterey is more of a Deck Boat Styed Boat, with a Brad Front End, the 224 FS is more of a Sport Boat Design with a Traditional Bow Area. Both Boats are remarkable, the 224 is a bit less $ and a great value, I personally sell many more 224's over the M Series but both styles are very nice.
