the guy on drums and percussion is Katrina's late husband, Mike Shapiro.
This is such a good representation of what this superstar can do. I am always stunned by the little things few people discuss: her enunciation is so good…you hear each word so clearly and she sings in multiple languages and doesn’t skip a beat…no pun intended. What about that band??
That band, along with her now late drummer husband absolutely freak'n killed it. One of my favorite Katrina Velarde performances.
Could refer to it as her Lockdown special. It never gets old

did you know that her face was paralyzed when she was pregnant with her son, she was also poor and she missed school as a young child because she had to compete in the singing competitions to help feed her family. that woman has a strong soul i got much respect for her.

In case you didn’t know Filipinos were colonized by the Spaniards for over 300 years. Same way that happened in Latin America. So it’s easier for us to pronounce Spanish better than other Asians. We were also colonized by the Americans. I think the ability to know some Spanish it gave this medley justice…
