Modern Vs Old Diesel MPG Comparison

Do older diesels with zero emissions get better fuel economy than a modern diesel with all the after treatment systems? The answer to that is no. Both get good fuel economy but the modern diesel beats out the older truck. (may depend on year, make and model).
