Legend has it that the island belong to the Bunian (translated as elves but our elves features different than the western christmas version or the jrr tolkien version. They said to be the same physic as human but they are invisible or hidden to the eyes of human)...perhaps the nervousness and spooky feeling when you enters mean you've been greeted by them...just you can't see them :) interestingggggg...... 😁

6:10 - It can be considered as a landmark for island mapping.
"Pulau Konet" (Kenit) refers to the name of the island.
Pulau is mean island. Konet or Kenit means small or too small.

    3:23 - Plot twist :
    • When the two of you are too complacent on that small island, not realizing that the sea is starting to rise and you have to swim to get back to land 😄

Air in Malay translates to water in English. Many years ago we used Ayer instead of Air in Malay. The change was made supposedly to bridge commonality with Bahasa Indonesia. It eventually did not materialize.

When you looked at the traditional Malay houses don’t they look similar to those in Brisbane and Queensland?

    • @adventureswithtoyahandmurray

Yes, they are high set, with nice features like stained glass windows and lots of timber, quite similar, if they were painted they would probably look very similar.

We made sure the tide was low enough and didn’t stay for too long, because we didn’t want to get trapped there, we have similar things in Australia, so we are familiar with tides and safety 😊
