He let his kids choose his last movie role, because he knew it would be his last movie, because he was dying of cancer, and he also wanted the money to make sure his kids would be taken care of after he was gone.
I still miss the dude. I like to think there's a parallel universe where he's made like 10 Addams family movies. I never tire of his Gomez.

For the two or three of you who didn't know, Raul Julia, an awesome and badass actor, agreed to be in Street Fighter the movie not only because he wanted the money to support his family in his twilight years, but so he could enjoy himself in a silly but badass role as he knew he was dying. I love Raul Julia, may he forever be overdrawn at the memory bank.
I was probably three watching this and he was the only memorable or enjoyable thing about it even then! We also had the anime Street fighter 2 movie which I think is actually semi cool, so childhood not ruined.
