    Very well done. The Mole weight is printed on the bag or flask. Let's use "Salt" Sodium Chloride = 58.443 g/mole
    58.443 g salt in 1000 ml = 1 liter distilled water = that's a 1 Mole solution. A >>>> 0.5 Mole solution, double the water

    Hey, great video! I am trying to make my own Supercapacitors as a research project in my school. Sadly, i did not have any big success yet, altough I`ve watched your long explanation video about DIY-Caps completely. I scaled your capacitor down a bit, and i used 1molar NaOH as electrolyte. Active material was: 10g AC, 2g Graphite, 1g PVA and 10g water. Eventough I followed this recipe, the active material was not very fluid but a bit hard (dont know the english word). In the end, I finished building it, but it maybe had 10milliFarad... I am also not really sure, what the max Voltage is, and a few other things i am unsure...
    May be you can help my with my problem, would be great, if i could finish my project this year! Thank you!

      Brother. I will try to help you by all means. First if your active material is so muddy and not fluid enough. Put a little bit more water until it become fluid. Secondly. Mix it very very well with a high speed blender. Paint it evenly as much as possible and apply as a thin layer. Most importantly let it to dry very well for a full day. And make sure that there is no short circuit when you roll up your capacitor. If there is no short circuiting it’s impossible to get less than 50 farads (according to size of course) try again and again eventually you will get success. Everyone fails at first. So don’t worry and try again. Break a leg brother.

    Well done.❤ Can you try to make a higher Voltage Supercap ? But then you probably need a different electrolyte...
    Or try to work with different PH values for both electrodes, but then it will probably work again as a battery...one electrode accidic and the other electrode alkaline ph value...I wonder how much voltage you will get then. Good luck my friend...🎉🎉❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

      Thanks a lot. I’ve just made such a Supercapacitor (a hybrid Supercapacitor) it’s 2000 farads and 2.1 volts. It’s amazing one. I will post a video of it👍

    So what's the DIY on this video?, the only thing i see is disassemble the capacitor.

      The capacitor itself is the DIY. And l tell you how to make that. Are you kidding?

    Thank you i have been wanting to build super capacitors for my solar power system. This looks like a good way to start and will be a good foundation to start from .

    What will happen if you mix the electrolyte in the activated carbon paste instead of water to bond it to the plates?

      When you dried the paste the pure NaHO will react with current collector.

    My dear brother, the previous question was about knowing the amount of voltage needed to charge a super capacitor. The dimensions of the plate used for manufacturing are 5cm x 5cm.

    Great video! You mentioned the different types of electrolyte mixture you have to use for copper or aluminum and I have a couple of questions that I hope you can clear up for me. You mentioned using sodium sulfate along with soap or even alcohol or acetone to break down the water barrier for the aluminum plate capacitor and my question is what is the ratio for the water and sodium sulfate mixture and how much soap or alcohol are you using to break down the water barrier with? My last question is can you use magnesium sulfate for the electrolyte for the aluminum plate capacitor? What would be the ratio for the water/magnesium sulfate electrolyte? Thank you.

    • @joyofelectronics9782
      @joyofelectronics9782  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you brother for your nice and kind comment. Let me start from the second question. It’s not recommended to use magnesium sulfate with aluminum. To your first question: all of the electrolytes should be one molar in terms of salts you used. And the ratio of surfactant material is should be a little. Ex: for 100 ml of electrolyte 1 gram or 1 ml will be enough.

      @@joyofelectronics9782 Once again, thank you. The only thing I'm not quite clear on is the unit of measurement in molars because I'm not familiar with those units of measurement and I think you are making reference to the molecular weight of what you choose to use to make the electrolyte with. In your video I think that you used sodium hydroxide for your super capacitor and if what I am finding online is correct, one mole of sodium hydroxide = 39.997 g/mol. If I want to use sodium hydroxide for my electrolyte solution can you tell me how many mils of water I would need for 39.997 grams of sodium hydroxide granules? Once again, thank you.
