No, they are just adding a third platform (a bay platform) on the northern end of the station with new tracks between the Mandurah Line tracks to the Glen Iris tunnel. The platform construction is already underway and the tracks will be constructed during the Mandurah Line shutdown over the new year, which I will make a video on.

When was there a murder at Cockburn? Although, it probably is for something else, I just made an assumption as I'd never seen them at the station before and now they've started construction.
