Carmelites aer NOT monks, they were originally hermits and were approved as a mendicant order of friars.

Okay as a Lay Carmelite im confused by their habit. They wear their scapular outside their capuch! Their Capuch are for OCDs but i never saw our discalced brothers do that!

Yes they *are* Carmelites. Their order is approved by the Holy See and they are indeed of the Carmelite monastic model. In fact, I'd say they're even more Carmelite than the majority of other Carmelite orders since they use both the true Carmelite Divine Office *and* the Carmelite Rite of Mass.

+Scott I understand the length of formation. Where I will be in 10 years only God knows, maybe still giving testimony of the love and mercy of God or in the presence of God. I have known older men that had enter religious life and they are still there serving. Its sad when it comes to the age subject and been rejected just because your age, who knows how many holy men out there has been rejected by this matter and they have lost a great saint in their order. As for the gospel teaching theirs no age to serve the Lord, we are all welcome. God bless you. Curious as to the origin of this specific "monastic" group. As the Carmelites were historically part of a medicant movement of friars, I'm wondering where the monastic piece came in and whether the monks are part of a province under the authority of the Carmelite Prior General in Rome or whether they make vows to the local ordinary. Also, what's with wearing the scapular over the capuce?

They are a lay association under the local Wyoming bishop. They have no ties to the Order of Carmelites or the Discalced Carmelites.

They've got the CFRs in NY. I went through the same thing before I graduated from High School. You could contact the diocese and ask for the Vocations Director, even if you're not discerning, and ask him for retreats in nearby monasteries or the Seminary. That will open tons of doors, but most importantly, will open up your heart more. God bless!

I am observing that several things are happening in this environment in my home town of Los Angeles, California these things, moves, which are being made are not being talked about, they are not appearing in the news, but they are surely and insidiously and invidiously happening.
1. The expulsion of the public from their own public government buildings.
2. The Iron Curtain being erected between the public and their government,
3 Isolation of the public from their elected officials, and isolation of the public officials from the public.
4. The introduction of "new" people quietly being introduced in increasing numbers among the public, perhaps a new gene pool being introduced into the social and political vacuum which is being created.
5. The introduction of the new gene pool with a directive to re-populate, re-people the area. Breeders, engaged in a government breeding program and re-population program.
6. This is all happening on the quiet. This is all happening above the radar. This is all happening within a situation of "forced isolation of one population", and "forced expulsion of another population."

I had the same issue when uploading the .mov fie. It has something to do with the audio codec that it uses. You need to encode into another format or re-encode using a different audio codec. As soon as I can get my hands on a good free converter I will give it another try.
