Y'all saying, "if he can learn to tamper down those turnovers." The guy had the lowest time to throw last season, sacked the most even though that can move well, and his rushing offense couldn't do anything at all. If he has a half-way competent offensive line, he'll throw a lot fewer picks and he'll still throw for 4k and 30 TDs.
Yes, just build the OL to protect this guy and he will pick apart the defences. He is a dual threats with both his arm and his legs. I believe the Seahawks traded for him to be the starter next year if they can not get the QB in this year draft that they like.
Commanders fan here. It sucks seeing him go so soon but I understand why watching him play every single snap and watching every game. His potential is high, but he just holds the ball way too long , has issues dropping back taking sacks, and throwing way too many INTs. Not good in the pocket either. Ex OC Eric bienemy didn’t help either with barely calling any running plays, and our horrible o-line didn’t either. He has potential with a good O-Line and solid play calling. Not to mention, the weapons he has in Seattle if he gets a shot to start.
With the Seahawks having a brand new offensive system, Howell should be the starter over Smith this upcoming season, he is more talented, and more of a complete player.
@@keagantait38 Howell had over 600 passing attempts in his first year because EB had him throwing all over the place, with no balanced offense, a bad O-line, so it only makes sense that the more attempts, the more turnovers he had, all because of a bad coaching staff. Yeah, I do know ball you egregious dolt.
As a WAS fan just give Sam some time to sit behind geno learn the offense and get his confidence back from the beating he took last year. Some point down the line you guys give him a shot and you a solid chance of having developed a scary QB he has legit top 10 QB potential.

Watched him play all of his years in college at UNC and he is a baller and he is tough as nails. He is a competitor and will put forth 100% effort to win a ball game. Comparing the efforts and mechanics and all around toughness of Howell and Maye, Howell wins that contest hands down!
sam needs to work on a few things such as sliding to avoid hits and pass leading but other than that he shows promise, he can learn alot from geno and could be our starter by next year
dude he is better than geno now lol, i dont get this geno hype. Sam was on the commanders, one of the worst lines in the league. He can't help a lot of those sacks as some of them happen in a split second. Dude needs a good team, im hoping you guys use him. Geno is not the answer at all.
@@spectre8469Cause geno is a good qb. He’s not the answer you’re right but he’s not the problem at all. Geno at his best is a top 10 qb that’s very good. Have Howell who showed a lot of promise sit behind geno for like a year or even have him play some games this season. He could learn a lot from someone who literally became a starter out of hard work and working on your weaknesses and taking your opportunity when it arises. just my take tho howell is niceeee i just think he’s not ready just yet
Super young and cheap and will have a year at least to learn the offense and take the field at 24-25? I like it. Have NFL tape on him which you can’t say about anyone in the upcoming draft. Also maybe allows them to trade down and regain some 2’s n 3’s and build the defense. Who knows if he will ever be a starter or what but as far as right now I like the move and am excited to see what will become of his future as a Hawk.
Then why bother talking about him? If you don't believe in him like that or if you're not a Seahawk fan forreal then maybe you should shut up and leave and don't come back. This society is so quick to shut something or someone down without even giving it or that person any type of a chance

He looks good at times throwing the ball on the field with a good line he could good ..
If he learns to limit the turnovers n key efficiency from Geno he’s gonna be a problem with our weapons on offense

We never committed to him but if someone does I bet he’ll take off
If he limits turnovers he can be a starter. His deep accuracy is so accurate on most of his throws.
Screens are not a QB highlight, but great vid

Ah yes the guy who threw 21 interceptions in his only season starting is a much better option. You don't know ball

I like this trade now that we didnt get any of the top 4 from the draft!
Hopefully he beats Geno out. And Flourish Brees-like type qb!!!!
Fun video to watch. I'm happy for the acquisition, so my question is....why on earth would Washington let him go? What am I missing? Help please.
They have the #2 pick lol
Howell and potential number two pick Drake Maye are close friends,…means to me Maye goes to WA…

I think geno and howell will battle it out in the preseason and that will be the deciding fcator as to who starts.
I think Geno is in a hot seat now😂
He’s gotta learn how to slide.
Jerome Baker please 🙏
Done….
hoping he turns out to be brett favre without all the interceptions… or theft
He gon kill Lockett 😭
So if we release Geno we save 9.6?
Is Sam Howell the best back up QB in the NFL?
No, Geno does 😂
How the hell do people like Joe Davis over Joe Buck lol. Same tone but even worse
a more raw Baker Mayfield
even the highlights is weak
Howell is a game manager and not in a good way😂😂
