With the hyperice do you need to have a cell phone with the app on it?

I really appreciate your deep curiosity for seeking ways to improve health and fitness. I feel similar but I don't have the chance to access so many of these new gadgets and technologies. Thanks for letting us in on all of these experiments & experiences. Keep up the great work and I hope you keep growing!

Thank you for review and i just bought the Quinear Air Compression Recovery System and really like the more pressure of the air and the modes. Really helps with recovery and prior work for me

Note: 100 mmHg might be a bit too extreme. 40-70 shoulld suffice for sport recovery or heavy leg.

I own the Rapid Reboot Regen compression boots. I have a knee issue it causes swelling in my knee and the swelling/fluid gradually goes down my leg by day’s end.
Using the boots to create a negative gradient compression to move fluid in my leg has been extremely helpful in my recovery. Now, on heavy workout days of squats or deadlifts, I use them to prevent fluid retention and it actually helps to eliminate any soreness or fatigue from my workouts. Also, I no longer have fluid retention in my leg from using them. I highly recommend them especially for injury recovery and continued maintenance.

We have a Normatec compression at my PT school and I've tried it out a few times and while it does feel good I haven't noticed much in terms of helping recovery. Maybe if I used it more often. TBF I haven't looked at any of the research but my guess would be its all over the place in efficacy. Great video brotha I've been enjoying your channel, love the fitness stuff!

More efficient would be to buy $35 compression socks and run while wearing them as you increase your blood flow =more oxygen for muscle this kind of machine are used during surgery with general anesthesia to reduce the risk of blood clots

I bought the Therabody RecoveryAir JetBoots. They worked for 2 days and then the power would come on, but they would not start. They were paired and the app on my phone recognized them. I tried to contact Therabody and they only do chat and have no one that can help you with the product. I am so frustrated. I will never buy a Therabody product again. I also did not have the split charger. Could only charge 1 boot at a time.

I used the Normatec ones after a trail half marathon. They had a company that loaned them out and had about 4 to demo. Did 20 mins. and after felt great! If recall ran the next day easy with no leg issues.

Would you guys spend $10-$15 for every time you used the boots? Say every month or so depending on training load?
Also would you say they’re beneficial for professional sports teams where 10-20 players could use them maybe once a week bringing the cost per use way down to like $0.50 or less

You should test those ones if you still have them to ones like fit king or quinear
Like is the expensive any better than the cheap ones.

Aren’t the hold times and pressures controllable? Just curious as I’m considering but I think you might be looking at the wrong attributes if you haven’t aligned the therapy programs on the Thera body

  • @mariangelps

To notice the difference they do to you when using them or not, you need to regularly use the compression boots as your recovery routine. Then stop using them so you see how big of a difference they do in regards to your recovery/performance. I appreciate the funny moments of the video but it is not the way to prove the efficacy of the treatment.

What is bullet proof is experience. At least in Australia they use the excuse that this is a medical device and they arent allowed to repair them. Because of that, if your boots fail after warrenty, in my case 3 months after warranty, they will only offer you a discounted replacement. Even then, in Australia, they wanted me to pay $600 for a new device. Every other manufacturer I contacted had no problems repairing devices. They are fine if you are a pro and the club pays for it, if you arent, get ready for a very expensive experience.

Look for a local electronics repair shop and they should be able to fix them or at least try. I am an electronics enthusiast and see people fix incredible stuff here in TH-cam, look for example at the Mend It Mark channel, he even does woodworking or metal working to fix knobs and related hifi stuff. Hope this helps!
PS: Another channel that comes to mind is Learn Electronics Repair, another awesome channel.

@@Snowsea-gs4wu i took it to an electronics place and no luck. They tried to ask the wholesalers questions but they refused to assist in any way. Bought a pair of boots from the recovery project. My daughter says they are much stronger compression and they assure me that they will repair boots older than 12 months. Every place I called thought Iwas joking when I said I was told to buy a new device.

Your test is a scam. You wearing two.difrent types on each leg. Even if it is a joke so is your testing 😅
