A kindly grandmother giving instruction to a grandchild who listens and takes instruction...not much sweeter than that! Looking forward to you're next video.
I don’t get to play with my grandchildren as much as I would like, but it is fun to see work, Jack has decided he likes to draw, Eva still likes working with colours. Jenny ❤
It’s interesting to see the differences you get using using black and white card stock and surprising how one medium will sit on top of another and give such a beautiful effect. Really enjoy watching your experiments. Thank you and take care
Hi. You have such an array of marvelous products at your disposal that I think if I were you I'd never be out of the craft room!😂 Thanks for sharing this video and have a super day.
Cleo is a darling child, I love watching you two craft together. She takes directions so well. It's always pleasure and a joy when you have her! It is interesting to see these experiments, you never know what you are going to get. I love the surprises! Can't wait to see the cards. Hugs, Brenda
Love watching how you experiment with all the mediums. Both turned out great 👍. Prefer the one you did on the white card! If you tap that brush onto a acrylic block it should create the splatter effect. Thanks for your wonderful creations looking forward to seeing the next video.
Lots of lovely colors in your experiments today, I look forward to seeing the cards on your community page. You were left a link to how to use Tim Holtz splatter brush, that is what I had to use when I got one. Have an awesome day!
They both look lovely ❤ You hold the brush in your right hand, pull the bristles back with your left, and let them go. You can use it with alcohol too. ❤
It's very interesting to see how different the same colour looks on different papers. I wonder how the would come out on a coloured cardstock. You might have better luck with your splats if you flicked the brush of off a stamping block.
I love watching you experiment. I like both your results and am still amazed at how that powder changes color, depending on the color of your gesso. Thank you for another interesting video!
Really enjoying watching you experiment Christine and your resulting cards. Regarding 'splats' : if you hold the brush with the width of the bristles parallel to to the surface you want to splat you get a wider casting of droplets. Also, if you tap across something hard like a pen or a paintbrush handle you get a sharper 'tap', can use more force if needed - and it saves your hand. Hope that helps.
Hello from Barbados Christine, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy and am inspired by your wonderful videos. So pleased I found you on TH-cam. Keep up the beautiful inspiring work ❤
I've had the most success with a fan brush for splattering. Of course (and unbelievably), I don't have a Tim Holtz splat brush, which definitely is a different technique altogether (pull the bristles back from the side to kind of spray the liquid vs. tap, tap, tap). I definitely prefer the black on the white cardstock. I need to pull that stamp out. I HAD to have it so I'd better use it!
I love the way you use different products, I also have, and forgot all about 😅❤. Black gesso is actually a great product. Did you see the white card, was very green and sparkling, and the one with black gesso, different? The distress paint brush, or what it called, is meant to spreed the brushes, without dirty fingers. Its a struggle for me to😅. Love to watch your videos, and yes your granddaughter is a natural talent❤
Another amazing video 👍🏼🤩! By the way you can strum the splatter brush, like pulling the bottom half of the brush head & hold sideways to direct splatter at work. Depending on how hard you strum it makes the difference in splats 😁, Tim Holtz did a great demo on it. I got one recently but haven’t used mine yet, so I hope I explained it properly. I think there are a few different ways to use it. Really enjoying all these duel tone experiments & will definitely be giving them ago myself. Thank you for the videos !
Hello Christine !
I think they're both pretty! I imagine the second one (black on white card) would look nice if using a stamp with gears and cogs as it almost looks like what I try to achieve for a rusty look (with a touch of gold here and there). I know you'll create something wonderful for both of these prints! Thanks for sharing! 💕 Edit: Now that I look again, I realize it ihas a green tinge, so forget what I said about the "rusty" look. 🤣 Now I have in my mind a tapestry look. 🤔 I think I should just be patient to see what you make of them and can see the close up of each of the colors. 😊
Oh, my, what a glorious mess you made, and what loveliness came out of it! Fun!! And your granddaughter is precious.
Making a mess is one thing I excell at! 🤣🤣🤣
@@Chrissieannie Me, too.

Knowing where the splats will go... the struggle is real people! 😂❤

Very interesting. Thank you. There were So many adverts during this video. You are understandably becoming popular.
Sorry about the adverts!
So interesting to watch this process. The resulting cards were gorgeous. Thank you.
My pleasure 💚🤎💚
With the splatter brush, you run your finger or a palette knife, brush handle across the bristles to fleck splatters off.
What fun!

I'll experiment some more, I hadn't used the splatter brush before! 😃

Thanks

Thanks so much💚🤎💚
It seems on camera the white leaves turned to pink. The white background appears almost a deep orangey-copper color (my fav of the two).
They look different depending on the angle that you look at them, really interesting 😃😃😃
Hello from Florida! Enjoyed watching another one of your awesome videos! Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us!
My pleasure❤️❤️❤️
Loved the experiment both are lovely. Can’t wait to see the card you create with them☺️

I have interference acrylic paint that I can use for this! Woot!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Versamark ink would be another binder for a clear product.

Try hitting your splatter brush on to a ruler instead of your hand/finger. Needs a solid surface 😊
👍🏻
