Elite Dangerous: Warning, capital class signature detected. Everyone is shaking in terror and trying to escape battlefield. EVE Online: Some one boi on Taranis: - We have 10 supercarriers on directional scanner! Gang on 10 legions (cruisers) -
Capital ships such as the Farragut Battle Cruiser and Majestic Class Interdictor also use Frame Shift Drives, but their increased mass results in proportionally larger energy requirements that dwarf the already significant energy consumed by regular ships upon jumping. This increased energy results in capital ships jumping into and exiting from hyperspace in a much more spectacular fashion. In the process of jumping, the capital ship essentially tears open a wormhole into hyperspace, allowing elements of witch-space to leak out into our universe as exemplified by the strange particle effects and audio observed during a capital-class jump. When a capital ship exits hyperspace, a series of lights can be seen moving against the backdrop of space. Space crackles behind the points of light, darkness writhes and lightning flashes.
Reading some other comments, here's a suggestion; Think space battles from Star Wars Battlefront 2 Launch from a Farragut in an F63 Condor, or an Majestic Class in a GU-97, and fight eachother, victory by running the other team out of tickets or destroying all modules on the Capital ship. Since ED doesn't have any gameplay asides from being in your ship (as in no running around, my bad, poorly worded), you'd spawn inside the Capital and launch, and there'd be no sabotaging from inside the ship. Thoughts?
I used to think this was the sound of spacetime itself complaining as a hole was torn through it, but it turns out it's just a war horn emitted by these ships
Imperial War Vessel arrives in the middle of a dogfight between Imperial and Chaos fighters during the Fall of Cadia, circa 41st Millennium. Footage seen is from that of a camera on an Imperial fighter. *THIS FOOTAGE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR VIEWING BY THE ADEPTUS MINISTORUM*
Someone in another comment section said that this sound is horrifying. This was said because it sounds similar to a sound effect from Viper in Titanfall 2.
Interesting how the Imperial capital ship has three main artillery turrets, compared to the Federation's several dozen smaller rapid firing broad side cannons. Frankly it looks like a battle between the Space Battleship Yamato and a Star Wars Star Destroyer.

Holy crap that was epic!
Those beam laser sounds from the majestic class interdictor.. bloody hell.
0:50 sounds like a reaper from Mass Effect 3
This better be what commander owned star ship warp looks like when they come out with it.
Am now pregnant.
I had the biggest smile ever when I saw and heard them coming into view! DAMN that was satisfying as fuck!!!
This is real awesome! Never saw two capital ships like this - thanks for sharing it!!
Love the color&lighting choices for your HUD.
Now that's what I call majestic.
Farragut appears: Commander: oh cool
Majestic appears: Commander moves back in his chair: *_Oh no_*
*slipspace rupture detected. Slipspace rupture detected slipspace rupture detected*
*Confused screaming*
Don't......otherwise I'll have a PTSD
Space and time: why the fuck is this hunk of metal ripping me apart
Reading some other comments, here's a suggestion;
Think space battles from Star Wars Battlefront 2
Launch from a Farragut in an F63 Condor, or an Majestic Class in a GU-97, and fight eachother, victory by running the other team out of tickets or destroying all modules on the Capital ship. Since ED doesn't have any gameplay asides from being in your ship (as in no running around, my bad, poorly worded), you'd spawn inside the Capital and launch, and there'd be no sabotaging from inside the ship.
Thoughts?
You could have edited the part of your comment instead of apologising for wording it badly in text.
I would LOVE to have that implemented into Elite! But I doubt FDEV'd actually do that, but great idea!
the sound of the blue lasers from the empire ship are too good
I laughed when he immediatly backed off
They just warped in and started a laser show
I come into these sites just to watch the battles unfold from a distance. The views are just as great as the sound design
Honestly thanks for the vid. I got this in my recommended feed, so now I am going to try and get this game.
Lemme just throw that shit in reverse.
just got goose bumps when that carrier jumped into the combat zone
I just saw one of these last night. I decided right there, "I really need to join a faction."
I used to think this was the sound of spacetime itself complaining as a hole was torn through it, but it turns out it's just a war horn emitted by these ships
Its not a war horn. Fleet carriers have a different but still make this sound when jumping.
@@Rossilaz58 no it is a horn. The sound fleet carriers emit changes based on what model you choose.
Imperial War Vessel arrives in the middle of a dogfight between Imperial and Chaos fighters during the Fall of Cadia, circa 41st Millennium. Footage seen is from that of a camera on an Imperial fighter.

Someone in another comment section said that this sound is horrifying. This was said because it sounds similar to a sound effect from Viper in Titanfall 2.
as soon as it appears everyone was like ahhh hell nah
"I watched C-beams glitter near the Tannhauser gate"
aww shame you disabled the music that plays only during capital ship fights..
Listening to the thing in a pair of lovely headphones, just breathtaking. Gives me chills every damn time.
Warning, Capital Ship Signature Detected.
Nope not today
This gives me chills for some reason
Interesting how the Imperial capital ship has three main artillery turrets, compared to the Federation's several dozen smaller rapid firing broad side cannons. Frankly it looks like a battle between the Space Battleship Yamato and a Star Wars Star Destroyer.
I've, seen things you people wouldn't believe...
NO NO NO! WHY DOES THIS VIDEO END?!
U know, I just saved this video for watch later list. It is that good. And yes, I have read your pinned comment. I just want to watch that in future once more
can you post your HUD color scheme. I love it
+justride89
yep,
0, 0.33, 0.75
1.4, 1.15, 0
1, 0, 0
+NotOnlyHere Thanks, was about to ask for it as well :P
+NotOnlyHere thanks m8
I actually have the same. Its more vibrant, but thats a good thing
@@nightrous3026 how do you change color of the hud? Is it pc-only? Or is it some buyable content?
I just want that sound of capital's warping in. it is horrifying!
the empire capital ship looks like the gunships from Half-Life 2. Exactly like them, just bigger and not organic obviously.
Prepare for trouble... AND MAKE IT DOUBLE-
What is with huge ass futuristic machines having epic horn like sounds?
You have these Capital Ships, you have the Reapers from the Mass Effect series and the Guardians for Halo 5: Guardians.
And how could I forget, the tripods from War of The Worlds.
oh dude, the greatest relaxing tool is the 1 hr long tripod sounds xD hearing them walk and every now and again sounding their horn.... i dont know maybe im to edgy xD but its cool shit
What can i say... Its an ominous and scary sound. Should it sound like a pikachu when it comes out of hyperspace?
I love that sound. They nailed it
what are they using diesel to jump
0:21 & 0:34 "That's not a repeat alert... *That's a second signature*"
I remember seeing this happen to me the first time. Scared the shit out of me
0:40 Imagine flying in the dark to a planet and that's the sound of a black hole.
