Options range from the original black oxide, classics like unique case hardening, to modern Cerakote colors such as burnt bronze. Kahr why?they had to step there GAME UP . Auto Ordnance was on there way out of business that's why KAHR purchase them for a little of nothing and turn it around .I still have one of there 1911 that's says Thompson on it back from the 80s when I tell you it's JUNK it really is. Had to get a gunsmith to REBUILD the whole damn thing

Don't need pretty patterns, colors, or stuff like that.
Functional is pretty enough. The blued/black model or the nickel/brushed is all I want.
