An exquisite form of embroidery done by the rural women of eastern states of India, Kantha work is one of the oldest embroidery crafts in the world. Kantha embroidery are completely handmade and they are nothing but a simple running stitch created into beautiful patterns we see everyday in our life. The common designs are flowers, birds, geometric patterns etc.
The Kantha work are usually made on sarees and dhotis. Cotton is mostly used but nowadays these embroidery can be seen on Silk sarees and Casual wear sarees like Semi Tussars. At Prashanti, we bring you the stunning range of Kantha work sarees with Semi Tussar, Semi Chanderi as base fabric.
