I think it was 2003, if not it was early 2000's when they were remodeling the hotel. The front elevator was down and only the one in the rear was working. (Might be why we got an awesome room rate deal) 1.) thing was it was a pain to leave the hotel based where our room was. We had to walk the whole length of the floor go down the elevator then walk the full lenght back to the front of the hotel. Every time after going into our room then leave and come back the key card would be de-magnetized. During our three day stay it was so bad we stopped going back to the room with the key card and everytime we came back we would just get a new card at the front desk to avoid the long walk due to the elevator issue. 2.) First night our TV kept coming on. It happened three times the first night. 3.) The second night the alarm clock alarm kept going off. The third time I was fully awake turned the light on and double made sure the alarm was turned off, thinking it was the last quest who had set it, even though it had not gone off the night before, I know I was trying to rationalize what was going on. Just as I was about to fall asleep the third time it went off again. I was now offically freaked out and I unplugged it. The third day, after the second night, I asked the maid in the hall if the hotel was haunted and she refused to speak to me about it and acted really weird about the question. I went down stairs and asked the front desk guy and he laughed it off and advised me no, but again it was more of a nervous response and was weird as well. Now I wasnt going to let it go and started asking hotel employees whenever I saw a new one with no responses to my questioning. However the young guy that had been getting our car out of valet when we needed it was informative. He told us stuff happens all the time there. Guests leave early and he knew of at least one maid who had quit in the last six months do to stuff happening to her while cleaning. The management, at least at that time, had the policy of not admitting to any activity. He further told us about a white dress women being seen in the ball room as well as children running and playing up and down the halls. After telling him all the stuff that happened to us he said your staying on the @%#$% floor. (I cant remember the floor or room anymore) and he was right. He further stated that he knew we were on that floor based on the activity happening to us due to that floor having the most kid prank stuff happening from the ghost children. He then asked us if we had seen the camera people around the hotel, and we hadn't. He then informed us that a new show called haunted hotels or somthing like that was there filming that very weekend. Two years later I actually saw that episode on TV. They have proably changed there stance now due to all the interest in ghost stuff over the last decade and now view it as a positive for business, but not when we stayed there...LOL...I would like to add that although being a little freaked out it wasnt a super scary thing. After learning it was childrens ghosts it more made me sad than scared. Is the place haunted...Hell yeah its haunted...

This makes me laugh just because I worked for the New Orleans Hotel Collection... Love their hotels, but yes most are haunted... But that's pretty much everywhere in the city.

A friend and I stayed in Bourbon Orleans and loved it. On our last day as I went to lock my bag back up after getting dressed I realized I couldn't find my lock or keys. They weren't where I had originally left them which was on the corner panel where they have the coffee and tea instead after about 5 or 10 minutes of searching my lock was inside the panels draw all the way in the back and my key was on the opposite side of the room near my roommate's area close by the window. I laughed but my roommate was horrified, shook, and ready to go. We stayed in room 512.

I was there in early 2000's with my wife....they were doing construction when we were there and only one elevator on the back of the hotel worked, so was a pain going down to the desk cause we had to walk the entire length to go down then back across to the desk.. Every time we left the room when we got back the key card was demagnetized. It was so bad, and a pain to go back down to the desk after like the third time for our entire stay we would just get a new key ever time we came back to the hotel. 1st Night...the TV kept coming on by itself.. Like three times...(not off) 2nd night the alarm clock went off really late. I reached over turned it off, sometime later, after falling back to sleep, it went off again.. I turned lamp on woke completely up and turned the alarm off without any doubt. Just fell back to sleep it goes off again...it got unplugged and put in the bathroom...wife was freaking...we asked the maid if there were ghosts she gave us a funny look would not respond and walked down the hall. No one (workers) would speak to us...the guy that went to get our car was the only one. He said the hotel was hella haunted, confirmed our floor (6th floor) was worst. Then informed us that History Channels Haunted Hotel was there same weekend filming.lol...(looking for the women in white that is seen in the ballroom) we had seen all the electronic cases up front when we checked in, thought it was part of construction....

Txgomeric I saw the woman in white, too! We did a tour of all the haired hotels in the area, and they took us to the ballroom. The lights turned red, and I saw her in the corner of the room. So creepy.

@@AmiyrahMartin You're welcome. I enjoyed the videos. I'm sure you heard about the fascinating history of the hotel, not just the quadroon balls, but that it later became a convent headed by Henriette Delille, the first African-American nun here who ran a school for enslaved children, which was illegal at the time. She is now being considered for sainthood by the Catholic Church.

I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel for 8 Nights this past October 2016. It's a Beautiful Hotel, with a Clean Beautiful Pool. But I was Disappointed because I did Not Experience any of the 17 Ghosts that is Supposed reside there.
