Seeing that car get within inches of your RF as you pulled off the warmup lane (in practice) made me raise my eyebrows, then I rewatched it and realized it was Santino. Suddenly I’m no longer surprised😂
this year there was a little lift on the warm up lane in T2 coming out of the pits, it was quite slick. but other than that, flat out as soon as we release the pit speed limiter
Hey Connor, way to step in for Jack on short notice like that today. Watching this run and since it was the Monday after Qualifying with the changes to the car to race setup. I assume that the engineers are ALWAYS collecting data, but was this run more to confirm the expected feel/balance through a fuel run (even though not quite the 28 - 32 laps we see in the race on fuel run)? Or am I reading more into it and purpose than just pounding out some laps and confirming where the car is? Also, I assume you'll have something on Iowa at some point, but would be interested in your feedback on how the hybrid effected the balance of the car from the last time you ran Iowa? Or is it hard to ascertain how much the balance changed between pre hybrid/hybrid with the repave? Appreciate your thoughts in advance!
You’re reading far too much into it hah but yeah we start these runs with full fuel. But we still are just testing things so if we need to pit to make a change we can
I have so many questions mostly based on your data. I’ve been a long time Indy car series fan since late 80’s and never knew how much engine braking is used. Won’t post all my questions here but would love to see you add a Q&A segment to your podcasts. More than anything, thanks for sharing this Conner, was just wow!
You’ve gotta remember that a lot of the lifting in this video is just purely because it’s practice and you don’t stack up like crazy. Race scenario is still much different because everyone is pushing at max all the time. But yeah lifting is huge because at 220+ that’s all you need with the downforce we have on the cars
It's the tunnel of the stands going into 1 that throws you off which then messes up T2 also. Just gotta ignore the optical illusion of it being super tight.
@@mwdrum 6th is actually quite long honestly. 238mph gear normally. We want it long enough for a multi car tow, but short enough to not bog down when we aren’t deep in traffic

lol yep. Thats about normal
Very smooth. That is how I used to do it on iRacing. 😂
Super cool! This perspective is sweet to see, thanks for posting!!!
How does a perspective sweat?
haha no problem!
You're winning this race, I know it, and I can't wait to be there when it happens!
Thank you!
Very cool perspective!
Thank you for sharing
no problem!
This is so, so cool. Unbelievable how fast y'all are going on these runs, and for so LONG. The concentration must be so intense.
Most mentally demanding race there is, without a doubt
Also physically more demanding than people think
@@ConorDaly22 How do the G forces compare to the road courses?
@@grantwareham946 at indy the peak G load isn’t as high but you’re still sustaining G’s for longer periods of time in the corners
Bad ass! You are some of the bravest in Motorsports.
we appreciate you watching!
“Hell yeah”
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for sharing mind blowing to see for an average fan Was hoping you might have got a drive at Iowa being an Oval ☹️
I was hoping for the same! sadly no seats available.
Very Cool! Thanks for sharing!
thanks for watching!
Hoping for some Nashville news haha! Awesome angle
haha i wish!

Are you typically flat out on pit exit during the race?

It's nuts to me that you don't have a spot but Crashjean does. Is GTP a possibility? Have there been any talks with Porsche, Caddy or Acura GTP teams?
Those manufacturers are very loyal to the drivers in their systems already. Which I respect. Difficult to get in
Will the hybrid have any effect on ovals?
We will see this weekend. I think it will be a bit odd honestly
@@ConorDaly22currently watching your mid Ohio recap where you address this further. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Full 108th Indy 500 Conor POV with team radio comms when?
not possible. that would only be available if we paid the $100K + for an onboard camera lol
@@ConorDaly22 drats!
I love living in the era of being able to watch perspectives like this. Insanely cool, thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sooooooo hypnotic and cool to watch !!
Cheers and thanx! 🤜🇫🇮🇺🇲🤛

Wish everyone had a onboard camera for the race. Or even bring back that helmet cam they had in 18
every car without a doubt needs an onboard camera
Awesome view!
🤘🤘
Can’t wait to see you in the truck series 🛻💨
thank you!
0:05 Surprised they can tow a car the wrong direction while the track is green and pitlane is active.
yeah that's how it has always been really. only way to get cars to pit lane! and we are required to be in the fast lane of pit lane at all times.
Awesome POV!! Is it May yet?!?! Haha.
haha i wish

But we still can’t be flat in dirty air almost no matter what.
In iRacing, I used to struggle in one and two, but three and four seemed easier. Why is that? Thanks! 🏁
iracing is impossible to compare to real life at indy in an indycar im sorry lol
