This has caused separation emotionally from family towards me. Probably the aspect on the 2nd house as well. I have this combo in my D9 w/Rahu conjuncting my Sun. D1 has Saturn in 10th. I’ve been out of work for 10 years. I can’t take it anymore. I’d want to put myself out there (I’ve got Sun/ME/MA conjunct in Leo in D1). You can prob feel the push pull from those placements alone. I want to be in the public eye but life has pushed me to the background. Perhaps I should have a creative business from home. My Sun is Aatmakaraka so I guess I’m being asked to take a back seat. Some confusion as I’ve read you can be a leader so long as you’re humble with aatmakaraka Sun.

They take something that is normally a private thing like eating or massaging etc and expand it to enormous proportions as Rahu usually does. It also often shows immigration to another country or a far away relocation, cuz 4th house is also your homeland and Rahu aspects 12 & 8 houses from the 4th.
I have rahu in the fourth, in piscis conjunct moon in piscis, and I do not have children bc I don t want that weight and that responsibility. Also it´s true, I value inner peace much more than social success. I couldn´t care less about the latter and do not see the problem with that. I am not a slave to society´s goals or beliefs about success and happiness. Happiness comes only with inner peace.

My only son was born just a few months before Rahu mahadasha began and my own experience of motherhood seemed to be cursed by Rahu sadly. Many years ago, during the 18 year period of Rahu dasha I began living in India and just before I left Australia a friend who's a Vedic astrology looked at my chart and said, "Ketu in 10th means you'll travel to many holy places and bathe in many holy rivers" She showed me how it was written in a text book! And that's been a big part of my life the past 17 years since then.
and yes, since the beginning of Rahu dasha I've been pretty much out of the workforce, always was failing at getting myself to combine my talents into a career anyway. Have never been career oriented. Just working jobs. But since the Rahu dasha started I was a stay home mother, then all my work became volunteer work in Bhakti yoga societies to this day. And yes, I just care about feeling ok and inner peace. And could say obsessed with it. Definitely obsessed with health and self help and self realisation.
Jobs that are not typical rat race jobs are good for these ppl, think among lines of spiritual work and things you can do from home or run from home/online like astrology, tarot, nutrtion, personal trainer, spiritual healer, etc, jobs that actually help and serve people and where you can still be spiritually oriented yourself or whatever makes you personally feel good ie not oppressed. Typical 9-5 jobs with bosses often depress us. Or a lot of us, depends on your specific chart....

Oh my god this makes so much sense... and what makes this even more conflicting is that i have sun in the 10th house with ketu, leo rising...it's like my whole life is this tug of war with trying to find peace in whatever I'm doing and going with the flow, and having this pressure to build my career and fulfilling these great ideas that i have, yet never being able to fully dedicate myself to anything

I think the 4th house is given a bad name is Western Astrology. We don't dignify raising children and being a parent..which we should. Parenting is the hardest 'job' in the world.
Ola - that is a hard placement. A lot of imagined fears. You will need to develop real emotional courage, not just allow yourself to get amped up on the drama of it all / blame others for your problems.

I have gotten to the point where I just want to do what I want and when I want and say fuck the world, I hate proving myself and falling in line with societies expectations, I have little care about career status and money but I the same time I have leo rising and leo sun so I need to shine and feel important and respected so its kind of a hard placement to deal with, but I make it work somehow 😊 and I'm very independent and do whatever I can to not need anyone. Oh yea me and my mother are very close like bestfriends and im very devoted to making her feel safe comfortable and happy but we clash alot at the same time. I would love to be a parent, but unfortunately I am fiercely against procreation from a moral standpoint. If I had the means to adopt I would do it no questions, any child, any person really, I am 100% prepared to mother. I'm also a cancer rising..
