Carrarang was beautiful. Need a boat or a kayak though, as the water is very shallow for a long way, with no structure. Track in is easy, its not far off the main road you would have driven in on for Steep Point. I've heard that Carrarang may be shut to campers at the moment though, so you might be better off looking at Tamala. Which is a similar setup.

It is a working station and reception is patchy, so leave a message and they'll get back to you. I have heard that they may be closed to campers at the moment though, but can't confirm that. If you have no luck there is camping at Tamala station and steep point.

Wild Touring I'll be taking the dinghy definitely so will enquire about carrarang.

Tamala is the station just before Carrarang, i believe its a similar setup. They try to give each camper there own stretch of beach/bay.

1greghawk yeah boat would have been mint. Still probably wouldn't have helped me catch much though, I'm a pretty useless fisho!
