    great video - so good it attracted the worst elements - so they shut the gate to keep us all out.

    Great video. A truly remarkable part of the world ! Can't wait to get back. We stayed at Tamala Station, but might check out Carrarang next time. The fish weren't interested when we were there either...

      Thanks mate. Yeah I think it would be a different story if we brought a dinghy to get out a bit deeper! Ankle deep water for ages!

    Great video, looking forward to watching more of your stuff. Found you via Mr. Buckeroonie. Haven't been out to Carrarang yet but hope to get up there some time. Beautiful place, looks like somewhere good to take the tinnie.

      Thanks mate. I've been following your channel for a while! Tinnie would be perfect at Carrarang. Which I'd brought one, or even kayaks. Water is so calm and protected but so bloody shallow for ages!

    Great choice of tunes, awesome footage.
    Piss off that microwave, they always break. Although handy with a baby.

      Haha no way! Crazy! Its an awesome spot hey. I NEED to be better prepared next time. Sucked not bringing a boat or at least a kayak to get out.

    Very brave taking a bub that young camping. Screaming babies can ruin a great camping trip, as well as getting you offside with your fellow campers. 😥

    Great video mate!
    How did you find carrarang station?
    Looking at booking my next trip away and have done steep point and wanted to try somewhere else.
    Hows the track in compared to steep point/shelter bay.
    Cant wait to get back out there and make more vids!

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carrarang was beautiful. Need a boat or a kayak though, as the water is very shallow for a long way, with no structure.
      Track in is easy, its not far off the main road you would have driven in on for Steep Point.
      I've heard that Carrarang may be shut to campers at the moment though, so you might be better off looking at Tamala. Which is a similar setup.

      Wild Touring I'll be taking the dinghy definitely so will enquire about carrarang.
      Where abouts is tamala?

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tamala is the station just before Carrarang, i believe its a similar setup. They try to give each camper there own stretch of beach/bay.

  • @rockoboys6228

    how did you get hold of carrarang station ??

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rocko Boys, you can reach Lorraine or Tony on 9948 3997. Or email them at carrarang.station@bigpond.com. It is a working station and reception is patchy, so leave a message and they'll get back to you.
      I have heard that they may be closed to campers at the moment though, but can't confirm that. If you have no luck there is camping at Tamala station and steep point.

    Long way to go without a boat to get out amongst it?

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      1greghawk yeah boat would have been mint. Still probably wouldn't have helped me catch much though, I'm a pretty useless fisho!
