haha It's funky disco. Kind of "AOR"/yatch rock style as well with Daft's unique touch. Not new, but it's quite envolving and it has soul. I think the "being fresh" fits the clean sound of Daft's music. Their tracks are clean, unlike the nowadays pop songs that are noisy and always battle the "loudness war". I believe that's the point even if Cory didn't think of that in the first place. "being fresh" = being different from status quo of music nowadays.

I think B minor was their sort of scale, but Ab minor they used more often. A lot of that seems to be Tron stuff though, and their Bmin is generally more popular.

I've listened to Parcels before and I love their live vol. 1, didn't even know that Daft Punk produced this single, you can hear it clearly of course in the production. For everyone out there who loves Daft Punk, you should give a listen to L'Imperatrice, a French band who will shock you with their skill

C'est ouf à quel point la masterisation (je crois) est super bien travaillée. Les beats sont super propres (et sont quasi les même que Get Lucky), les voix bien détachés, y'a pas un truc de travers, on sent le travail millimétré poussé par le duo casqué encore une fois !
On retrouve aussi la douce mélodie de Short Circuit à 1min40 des Daft vers 2:40 dans ce titre :)
