You can't record phone calls with the cables. You can only record phone calls over Bluetooth. It's an iOS issue, NOT Rode!

    • @tessifromi5268

lol why would you want to record calls? That's illegal if you don't notify the person that the call is being recorded.

    • @waltjennette

Of course, but this would only apply to those people doing interviews over the phone or taking live callers on a talk show or stream. There's very much a use case for it.

This all depends on the scope of the question.
I can connect to phones via USB cable and push audio out to the phones to capture in video or voice note or to discord or something like that. I can bring audio back into the RCP from the phone if I’m using it to play music or whatever.
BUT you can’t record phone calls via USB with iOS so if you’re thinking can you have 2 phones for the purpose of having 2 phone calls at the same time, you CANNOT do that via USB. But you could have your 3 way call and then pump that in via Bluetooth if that’s what you’re asking

Hey man, really appreciate your videos. Is there any way you could make a tutorial for how to use the Rodecaster Pro 2 with Twitter Spaces? They've been growing rapidly in popularity as a medium for people to host regular live shows, podcasts, etc., but unfortunately you can only run them on an iPhone (there's no PC compatible hosting option). Obviously it would be really nice to be able to use my Shure-SM7B for recording audio vs. the standard iPhone mic, as well as all of the other benefits using a rodecaster provides.
Majority of people I know use the Rodecaster Pro 1, because it's so much simpler connecting the iPhone w/ the audio jack. I've attempted using the RCP2 for spaces with the SC-15, and I was able to get audio back into the headset connected to the RC, but the audio the audience / other listeners in the space heard back from me was awful (which shouldn't be the case for the SM7B).
I've asked my Twitter following (which is up to nearly 600,000) and zero people have been able to give me a clear and easy answer for how to make the RCP2 work with spaces. If you could figure this out and make an easy to follow tutorial for it, you wouldn't just be my hero, you'd be helping out a massive community of users that feels stuck in the same spot. Happy to help you figure out how to get on / host Twitter Spaces if you need to as well!

Yes, you can connect the NTH-100M to the RØDECaster Pro II using the included splitter cable and a 3.5mm to XLR adaptor that converts phantom power to plug in power, such as the VXLR Pro or VXLR+.
Plug the end of the splitter cable with the microphone symbol into the VXLR Pro, then connect this to any of the RØDECaster Pro II’s XLR inputs and ensure phantom power is turned on for that channel.
Then plug the other end of the cable into one of the RØDECaster Pro II’s headphone outputs using the supplied ¼-inch to 3.5mm adaptor to monitor your audio.
