I just finished my last exam for my master’s degree, and I have nothing left to work on or worry about. My entire graduate school experience can be accredited to this video. I have listened to this umpteen times over many a sleepless night. Though, I’m listening to it currently as a kind of ending credits, and its surreal how peaceful this space is now. Well, I suppose 4am lofi will have to be next. Law school here we come! Study on everyone…but get some sleep too, this too shall pass. (Pun intended 😉)

Have you ever wondered why Lofi Girl makes studying much more interesting and better? Of course it's the lofi beats, but the real reason behind them affecting our brain is that they increase Dopamine and Serotonin to improve mood, while simultaneously reducing Cortisol, a stress hormone, in simple terms the beats make us relaxed, and while we're relaxed, the brain works much more smoother and has a better way to get things in! (like your formulas, and any other stuff you're trying to remember). This was the actual reason why it makes us study more! (I know it's boring but not with Lofi music :3).

To everyone who's studying with this music:
Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨️
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

I'm far from college age, no studying for me. But Lofi Girl has been right with me when stress and other bad things happen (also to just relax and chill). My boyfriend was in the hospital the last 4 days with severe heart problems. Lofi Girl kept me grounded. Helped me cry.

This sounds dumb but when it's finally nighttime, I feel like the whole world is asleep and I am the only one awake. It's so quiet and all the stress that I had to deal with during the day gets put on paused until morning. So for that short period of time between nightfall and sunrise, everything is calm and peaceful. I don't have to worry about people relying on me that exact second, I can just relax and breathe.

I always wish I was them when I just started and most of the time I think I will never be them because of how much homework I have. Every time I do finish my homework no matter the time. Y'know, I've always wondered what this girl is studying. I don't think it's a standard subject like Algebra or English. It's something she's passionate about. Something that even at 3 am, she has the drive to study. Maybe she's studying astronomy. Learning about the stars and the planets. How everything moves and why that makes it even more beautiful.
Or maybe she's taking a fashion course. Not to make extravagant and expensive dresses, but rather cozy blue sweaters that people can feel comfortable in.

I'm sat at my desk crying, over a thousand miles away from my family, wishing I could see them again. I made this move for college but it's getting hard. They're my support net, my safe space... and now all I have to comfort me is this playlist.
You've got this community too - we may not be therapists but we can listen and try to understand. We're all here for you. Please know it gets better with time
I know it probably doesn't feel like this right now, but this lonely feeling will pass with time as you get more used to and integrated into your new home. I left my country 7 years ago and it was so incredibly hard, but now I'm really happy I did it. It taught me independence, to be more outgoing and dare to meet new people, and how to also endure loneliness for a while. Us humans, we are crazy monkeys. So focused on habits and things we're used to, but also so adaptive and creative when thrown into a new situation. You can do it :) New friendships take a while to grow, so be patient with yourself and your new environment. It might not seem like it now, but there are always people around who fit your vibe, your needs and your interest and will become great social connections with a little effort and trust. You're not alone, feel loved and I wish you best of luck!

These things are always hard in the beginning - you only really realize how important some things in life are to you, when you don’t have them atm. It is hard being away from your family - especially when you imagine the physical distance. I’m sure though that you can call with your family often; they must be happy to listen to you talk about your new life.
After some time, when you find some good friends at your college, you’ll realize they’re a lot like your family too. Find people who are supportive of you, build you up and feel like family, that will help :)
Aidan, I’m sure that there are many people who care about you, being it your family or your friends, and the fact that you’re far away from them does not mean you’re not close to their hearts. Be in touch with your family as often as possible - I’m sure you’ll see that physical distance can’t get in the way of family love.
This helped me so much, I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but I got 7 tests done in 2 hours! Thank you so much to whoever makes these!

Hi! I'm not a school girl anymore, actually I'm a language teacher and just finished an online class, but I kind of feel like this little girl in the video. She is so cute! She is a morning person and enjoys working hard while listening to lofi chill beats, just like me. She also has a cat, the sweet cat in the video is always clinging to her and cuddling with her, just like my rather human-like handsome cat.😽 😻 The illustration in this video is a masterpiece! Have you noticed all the little details like the cute little toys in different corners of the room, the girl's slippers in the shape of mice or the movement of the light within the gas lamp? This is just awesome! Sometimes I like to paint and draw pictures myself, but I could never produce an artwork like this. I wish the artist lots of joy, happiness and succes with whaterver he does! I will listen to his beautiful music in my homeoffice all day long. 🥰
