Bought my mako 2 pepsi cuz of this video. My was +15s out of the box. However after like a month, it is now +5s constantly and i am super happy with it. best $129 ive ever spent on a watch
ISO certification is completely over rated and generally irrelevant for most people. This watch has twice the depth rating required to be iso certified, as you only need a 100 meter rating. There are many things that go into iso certification that have nothing to do with depth and pressure rating. This particular watch doesn't have lume on the second hand. That, alone, would disqualify it. Orient isn't some fly by night operation. If they rate a watch at 200 meters, you can rest assured that it can handle 200 meters. My $45 Casio is iso certified while Rolex has never bothered to play silly iso game with their Submariner. Some companies try to use certification as a selling point while others don't bother spending the extra time and money on something that's, for the most part, pointless. Pressure testing is the only thing that is required for every single watch, the rest of the tests are just performed on a small percentage of individual watches. An iso rating doesn't mean that your particular watch meets all the criterea. It means that maybe one out of thousand meets the standard. The Rolex Submariner is probably the most well known and iconic dive watch ever created but, going by today's definition, it's not really a dive watch.
SUPER REVIEW ... Jean-Claude Biver, CEO TAG says the current Swiss FAD is "IN-HOUSE" Manufacture expensive movements, WELL ORIENT is ALSO "INHOUSE" but shockingly INEXPENSIVE ... Started collecting last year & a TH-cam Reviewer said, EVERYONE NEEDS ONE ORIENT IN HIS COLLECTION, so I got the Orient Star & Loved it so much got the Orient Constellation, you can't beat the Orient Inhouse price compared to Swiss Inhouse. P.S. Creation Watches has the Pepsi for $ 149 (retail $ 330). Major Jim, US Marines
Thanks for the review! NB: These models really do wear smaller than 41.5 mm would suggest. Stiff bezel and fiddly screw-in crown, but an excellent quality model for the money. (These comments apply equally to the Orient "Ray").
Looks lovely so much more attention to detail than the 009 which I have and still love. The fact it hacks and handwinds and the bracelet and movement are better than the SKX tells me I should consider getting one,and that Blue dial is awesome.
Mark Bloom Hi Mark. The Orient bracelet is much better than the SKX bracelet. I’m not much of a football fan. Being European I enjoy European football. But I do like basketball. Have a nice game. Best regards, Anders.
Greetings from the Netherlands! I have a orient mako 2 and te hollow endlinks really suck... the hollow endlinks bent the spring bar every week to every 2 weeks... i definately dont wear the band to tight and i dont get stuck on things every 1 or 2 weeks 😬 you seem to know a lot about the watch and the exact problem that i’m having! so now, my question is: do you know a bracelet or a solution to my problem?? you will really help me! i subscribed to keep up with you and i really really hope you can and will help me!! I look forward to hearing from you!!!
great watch if your ok with it stoping every time it gets between 10:15 and 10:20 then needing a sharp rap to get it running again right out of the box I had seen a couple of reviews indicating this might be a problem and bet I could dodge that bullet I was wrong returned it today
I know, the video was shot i february where it's very dark here. Since they the lighting has been improved. In a few weeks I move house to a new house with much better lighting, so by then the issue is solved.

Thank you for showing this watch. I own the all blue version and I need to say. The Orient blue is magic, incomparable.
Thanks for the review!

I was debating between the SKX009j and the normal blue mako 2 but now that I see it's in pepsi colouring I think I will go for the Orient as well!
I would say. It HAS an X factor...this unreached blue.👍👍
I want this watch one day. I will skip the Seiko with its lack of hacking and handwinding.
@YouAllJackasses which cost alot more than an orient.
Its nice to hear about accuracy and finish from a German! ))
Hope nobody will take it as offense. Its like I would trust a French reviewing a food more over the Greek commenting a hockey match...sort of )))
I love my mako I think the Orient bracelet is better than the seiko 007 bracelet, great review!! Will you be watching the super bowl today?
Mark Bloom Hi Mark. The Orient bracelet is much better than the SKX bracelet. I’m not much of a football fan. Being European I enjoy European football. But I do like basketball. Have a nice game. Best regards, Anders.
Nice piece. But I prefer the new Triton! The Triton is on the same level as the Sumo. Maybe a bid above...
Great watch. Mine loses about 2 seconds per day. Sometime will gain that back at night. Very nice.
Not the original box. The original box has that metal-like finish on its top.
Yes but it can depend on the dealer.
Love my Orient Mako XL lume dial accurate to +1
Not even my submariner HULK Rolex116610LV with -2 can come close
Does your mako have epson written on the back? Or orient watch co?

L2L is 22mm
lug width would be 22mm lug to lug is tip of one lug to the other.
Thumbs down for giving your viewers a buncha wrong information.
Please please please do a video on your whole watch collection
Wolverine X men I did one a few months back. You can it in my archives. I will probably make a new one soon. Best regards, Anders.
Cracking review of a cracking watch Anders.
Thats a " Creation Watches " box

Anders. Your lighting needs to be adressed.
I know, the video was shot i february where it's very dark here. Since they the lighting has been improved. In a few weeks I move house to a new house with much better lighting, so by then the issue is solved.
skin diving does not mean snorkeling. it means no oxygen tanks.
Yes technically he obviously meant diving with snorchel / no scuba with oxygen tanks...
SKX is so overhyped and over rated. This is a much better watch. I own a Seiko Perpetual Calender so no I'm not biased.
Too dark, can hardly see the dial
Discount? :O
