The shadow that will always haunt Heroes of the Storm is that it came out late to the world, It's an amazing moba, the game that i play since it came out and the game that I most enjoy/get frustrated to. It's a rollercoaster of emotions. Yes I know it's not perfect but it's the most enjoyable MOBA out there
Not to mention run by an oppressive company. They cancelled the arcade mode because they had recently lost the lawsuit over DotA 2, and wanted to own whatever their players created, but this caused issues if their players made maps that violated copyright. HotS is a playground of assets, but nobody can use them because if someone made a Disney themed map, Blizzard would technically own it, and become sue-able.
you need to know that you're not perfect. heroes of the storm is the most original and diverse moba game in the world. the fact that lol or dot are played more does not mean that they are good
That was never the problem. The problem is that most of the player base is completely uneducated, threw in the towel in a tantrum when pro scene was canceled and is more and more Smurf infested as player numbers decline. Matchmaking is completely fucked up.
I feel you man League is huge!! Plus all of the items they have, and if I'm honest it hurts my brain trying to figure out runes!! 😵💫😅 It's a good game, just a bit too complicated for me! 😅😅
I’m a simple man, I go mid with everyone for a quick round of high fives, hugs, and that oh so sweet first blood. Then it’s off for 5-10 minutes of landing and rotating capping off with a deeper batch of late game team fights in terms of tactics and considerations than the greater moba community gives hots credit for. These characters are meaty enough to learn that you can really find play styles that don’t exist in other places. And the combat is fluid and fast and I just love this game if you can’t tell!
Bro me too!! And yes to all of what you said! I really think Hots has a diversity of play style that really helps anyone find the kind of heroes they wanna play! I agree I love this game and I think the cool is that there is a heavy emphasis on team coordination throughout the game not just at the end or the beginning. Like you said rotating from lane is so crucial in Heroes!! Ahhh!!! I love this game!!
@@MAJ.02ONE The items are also my main issue. It really feels unintuitive and overwhelming. Of course I have a build in Heroes, too. But when I hit my level I still only get asked for one thing. Choose 1 out of 2-5 things, mostly 3. None of them (apart from Ult) have any impact on later picks. Of course there is synergies. But its not that my lvl 16 talents forces me to pick a specific talent on 4 just to be pickable. On top you need to go home for picking and the way back to lane is so long I started reading my mails in the meantime. Not really a good design on this point.

I do hop in on weekends and chill with friends, or sometimes before bed. The game is insanely fun. I do play league some times but it doesn't match heroes of the storm teamfights and speed
Honestly I wish bruisers could be split up even more in description. Just for any new arrivals to the nexus. You see bruiser and you think ok a tank with less survivability but more damage. But really some of them play like a heavy melee assassin. Ragnaros is a good example. Thrall another. On the other side of that spectrum is artanis who is basically the image of a playstyle I think of when I think “bruiser”
@@MAJ.02ONE But same is true for ranges assasins. Zagara, Jaina und Raynor play super different. I think the roles are fine to be honest. Just double roles would be fine. For example possible Offlaner in the Tank role like Blaze, possible Tanks in the bruiser role (Varian) or possible Bruiser in the assasin role (Illidan) or brawler in the healer role (Rehgar). So people in lower leagues stop to freak out on "wrong role" picks
Sometimes the line between bruisers and melee assassins is too thin, whereas the ranged assassin category groups ranged dps and mages, which are roles that the community wanted blizzard to recognize but was never realized. The game's meta doesn't fully match the game's classification system and that really hurts quickmatch's match making.
Blizzard unironically *nailed* Heroes of the Storm. Its a really good game and a great moba. Its just unfortunate that their increasing greed made them abandon it alltogether
It wasn't really greed it was more so just really poor management. HotS 2.0 gave unbelievably forgiving in-game monetisation - pretty much all in-game items can be obtained for free. And they dumped 100 of thousands of dollars into their E-Sports which wasn't really that successful. I assume HotS was bringing very low revenue, so they ultimately put it maintenance mode.

I played HoTS back in the day and then stopped for about 4/5 years. Feeling the itch, I tried playing a little League and DOTA and... HoTS is plain more fun. If you want to hit skillshots and manage abilities, it's the best game. If you want to time last-hits, play the other games.
The best moba for me. A lot of fun. I started in warcraft 3, but I hated dota. League of Legends were interesting but I got bored after 3 years. Hots.... play it a lot and liked it much! Still wanna return to that game, but I game didn't changed since year and that makes me not gonna play it again.
By far by a mega ultra longshot my favorite MOBA. Literally have had everything else uninstalled since I got into the beta, any new MOBA or big update I try gets uninstalled and I go back to hots within a couple of days. I really don't know where I would go if servers fully shut down. My biggest dream in life is for it to begun being supported again.
Heroes was absolutely the perfect MOBA for me. It just clicked way more than any of the others I tried, from the art style to the heroes and game mechanics. I just reinstalled this morning after several years, hoping it’ll still match my memories of it :)

This reminds me of pickup games in high school. Not a whole lot of strategy, just hooping. I'm sure it helps to have the high map awareness and whatnot from more cerebral and mechanically demanding games like LOL and Dota 2. We all want to win. But this looks like so much fun. Too bad about the toxicity, though. I guess some things are universal

I have been playing lol for 6 year until i finally quit it and started playing hots. The diversity of every match is awesome, every game is different. And also, the comunity is pretty good, i mean they get toxic sometimes but lets be real, in lol 8 of 10 games someone will say really TOXIC shit and everyone will act like its okay. But yea, dont join general chat, its kinda like a 2004 forum or chan where people just vent
The only thing Hots lacks is a Fox character. Which only makes it more heartbreaking that the game stopped development since Kiriko is out in Overwatch now.

Yes unless u meet the try hard melee assassin or not mage assassin. Really what's up with genji, tracer, Silvia, Valeria, illidan, zerathul mains? The only mage who rages often I remember is green Karen like gul damn.
I've had a player tilt and announce they'll throw the match (which they sure tried) at second 11. The offence? Healer grabbing vision at the start of the match before the first fight starts. Despite a throwing Kael, we won the match 4v5 though. With how bad HotS players can already be, I have no desire to "go look on lol".
If you ever have trouble dealing with people in the chat, just start responding to everything with "ur mom." It's also worth noting that the tank is not only capable of surviving damage, but typically brings crowd control abilities to affect the enemy team, and help the damages pick up kills. The halers also typically have some crowd control, but it's less universal, and it's not always. Lucio and Morales have very little crowd control, for example, but the reason you pick Brightwing (and dread seeing it on the enemy team) is polymorph. The only other mobas I ever played were Paragon and Smite, so it might not be universal, but I find that the role of Crowd Control is much greater in HotS, which makes sense for a game which wants to reward coordination. Some heros, particularly healers, also have methods of minimizing enemy crowd control, and if you get good at using them, your team will greatly appreciate you. Single actions also seem a lot more impactful; I've seen several team fights won by a single mosh pit or cleanse. I also find that, in comparison to those games, there's actually more variety in builds, because the talents don't just increase or decrease numbers, but interact with your abilities in a way that generic items really can't.

I personally return to HotS ever so slightly. Around every 5 Months I start playing again for some time. I'm not very good at the game, but I love the interweaven mechanics, that make this a lot less frustrating than DOTA2 or LOL. Also the community is a little bit better. Less flaming, also there still is always that guy. When you follow a different, non competitive way of playing, you just have problems playing with people who only see the victory as desirable. For me the game must be fun, I don't care for winning or loosing. Still HotS has a lot of people who are very competitive, but some of the mechanics help a lot. Shared XP, means even if you don't participate in every teamfight, as long as you don't AFK, well you help in some way. It is definetly easier to play, the different maps mean more variety, but you always know how to help your team in some way. A single player can not carry the whole team, some will disagree, but as I see it, if you don't work together In HotS, well you fucked. This is different in LOL or DOTA2, where there can be a Carry. Just Teamwork is much more efficient than trying to outplay every enemy and friend. So, I will install HotS again and go for a few rounds, see you in the Nexus
you really have problems with kaelthas? engage upoh him whit a tank whit cc, get spell armor or armor or both on heroes. have a lot of heroes who have such a good stuf. thycus 7 and 13, artanis 4 and 13, bw has spell armor baseline, but at 13 she can give more. at 16 i believe she has a phase out, that can dodge pyro. just think a bit before you rage. and even if, there are no options, do not rage in general. because if they can make you angry, they becaem your master and you already lost.
This game is a pure gem. Although having played League of Legends to no end, I recognize how Heroes of The Storm is far superior and probably the best MOBA on the market. Perhaps what it lacked was more intriguing and fanservice characters: games like Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft are iconic in the world of gaming, and it's been for a very long time, but at the same time you hardly want to play as an old, hairy and ugly man like Genn Greymane or a fat ball with on six legs like Azmodan, or a literal disgusting walking crap like Abathur. But other than that, it has it all: superior engine/graphics/physics, games are fast-paced as you barely ever have to recall back to base and matches last no more than 15-20mins, characters are super unique in design (Abathur, Cho'Gall, The Three Vikings), are highly customizable and adapt to every match and setup without the need for money and items, every map is unique and objectives always change and are dynamic/fun, secondary camps and objective are meritocratic even in capturing them, rather than just reazling on often RNG last-second steal, the score screen is rewarding and makes you feel like regardless of how the match went, you actually did your part. Overally I want to repeat how this imo is the best MOBA on the market, and Blizzard really fucked up by discontinuing development and support like this. Literally disgusting and unacceptable.
You might have a point about the "who wants to play disgusting wretches" thing. I genuinely can't play Stitches with anything other than his teddy bear skin because I can't stand staring at his fat ugly butt for the entire game. The fact that ARAM picks a random skin for you really doesn't help. >_> Otherwise though, I'm fine with "ugly" characters.
Hots is my favorite MOBA. Tried to get into DOTA but my eyes have trouble with that game. Was into LoL for a long, long time but the community is just toxic. Also tried HoN, Smite, Pokemon Unite, Gigantic and even Demigod way back in 09-10. None of them were as good as HotS in my opinion.
I love Hots but I wouldn't call the community great... I mean, there are some people who are amazing, but the majority is still toxic, even if it's less toxic than, say, league. That said, to anyone who wants get into the game, I really recommend you check youtube channels like grubby, heroes hearth, notparadox or fanhots, and that's because the game does a really poor job at teaching you how to play, sometimes it even teaches the wrong lessons (I'm looking at you, quickmatch). Alternatively, if you don't want to, just understand that fighting 5v5s in the middle lane all the time is a bad idea and it's preferable to instead collect all the exp in the map from minions and camps and then fight for towers or map objectives once you have a lead.
I tell people this everyday, it's still a great game. It has quicker queues than Overwatch 2 QM and ranked for me lol. Overwatch is dead now, WoW is meh...I only really still enjoy Diablo 4 and HOTS. I won't play any other moba, what HOTS did was take everything you want in a game like that, give me my favorite characters and let me just fight. No stupid shop for buy back, instant action, pick a talent and fight. And you're not looking at the same stupid map. No "Im top hyper carry" League bs. It's a team game, you win with your WHOLE team. Even competitive HOTS is just FUN to watch. Blizzard screwed up hard letting this one die. All the skin opportunities, they had the ability to grow with their huge pool of characters. I know it was on an older SC2 engine etc. But no one wanted mobile Diablo, or whatever other game they are developing. I still remember the HOTS announcement trailer... so good.
I will always feel like Blizzard missed out on just updating one of the best casual mobas in existence... I was looking forward to them to create new chars from their new universe...
I agree with most of what was said, but you skipped over one point. This game lacks one cruicial thing! There is no bounce-back. If one team got a slight lead, and they make no absurd mistake, the match is already settled. If you get a level behind, its already hard to play. if you continue to get behind on xp, well... you just lose
Still playing it almost daily since beta. It's quite enjoyable overall. And I would say it's variance in maps is one of the leading factors it stays interesting even after such a long time. Playing for example Summoner's Rift over and over long term, just felt stale and boring to me. That said. There are certainly some points of frustration in this game for me... When I played LoL, it was easier for me to feel when I improved as a player. If you do well individually, you can 1v5 the enemy team. In HotS that is a lot more up in the air, at the mercy of your team, if you will... Which is quite furiating to me at times, even in quick play. I don't know if the fight went bad because my strategy was entirely poor, or if my team mates just was not able to keep up with a theoretical good play. Nothing justifies to be toxic, but toxicity tends to just be a result of frustration. And I can see that not being able to identify the problem can lead to that. And since it's so reliant on team cooperation rather than individual efforts... It's an unfair disadvantage when the enemy team is joining up all pre-made and I don't have any friends to play with. I really wish you could have a button to disallow matching with anything besides a fair distribution of teams. If your team has 2 + 2 + 1, the enemy team must also have the same pre-made composition. That would be so worth the extra queue times. Haha, you can definitely sense when the enemy team is always bunching up, never leaving an opening for catching someone off-guard. It feels like a waste of time playing those matches, it's not fun when you realize your team will be ran over anyways.

The first moba I played was Dota 2, after that I tried Smite, then LoL and lastly Hots. Hots is the only one I really enjoyed and have now spent over 2000 hours in it. A friend of mine will often try to get me to play LoL with him and I usually do but everytime I get reminded of how clunky that game feels in comparison to hots. Saying that I mean how responsive the game feels, movement of characters and such. That is one of the things I whole heartely believe Blizzard is the best at on the market. Haven't played a single game in the same genres as blizzard has game that feels more fluid to play.
lmao i don't tell people to go back to ai matches but a lot of times i accuse teammates of botting and ask for people to report them. a lot of times they are tho and these "people" usually play characters like naz, zagara, azmodan, etc. and all the do is split push solo lane and ignore every objective/teamfight on the map. then if they do speak it's like some broken english sentence that makes no sense to what i say like "i am not ai maybe you." edit: also KT isn't that bad. unfun heroes to play against are lifers that play Alarak, Zeratul, Medivh, Maiev, Yrel, and Hogger.
I agree HOTS is the best moba i played both dota/dota2 and lol. I dont agree with removing Kael tas you gave ban in renked so you can remove him from the game if you want
I disagree. The one janitor still maintaining the game is doing a great job. It's also harder for blizzard to screw everything up, if they're not touching the game.
Heroes ruined League of Legends for me. I sometimes watch videos of League but they are just so slow paced and a bit boring in comparison to Heroes. In Heroes you actually get action instead of spending 15-20 minutes just poking each other back and forth before you get into any real fights. Plus League's player base is really toxic, partially due to the game mechanics making you literally compete with your teammates for gold and xp. In Heroes you're encouraged for working together, you never get raged at for "stealing" someone's kills or going into their lane. I wouldn't even call Heroes simpler than League. League's complexity is in the items and sheer number of heroes, but the maps and actual gameplay are simpler and with only 1 map for the main game mode most matches are pretty similar. In Heroes you have different map objectives, merc camps, and talents that affect your hero's skills. Heroes is also better balanced. In League there's usually 1 person on each team who gets "fed" and basically goes around 1v3'ing everyone and one shotting people just because the person they were laning against made a few mistakes. I hope they bring back development on Heroes as it's a much more fun game, for me at least. (And before anyone comes at me with "lol you just couldn't handle League!" um yes I could, I played a very good Karthus but this was back in like season 3 or 4 or something. I got bored of the game and tired of the toxicity and went back to WoW.)
I really like hots, just just hate playing on PC. I'm a long time mobile gamer that plays wild rift. If blizzard wasn't modern day blizzard ,I would wish for hots mobile

I love Heros but I will always play League of Legends because heros does not have Trhash Senna Azier Jax And more chaps I love but Heroes is a lot of quick and easy fun with lovable characters that I grew up with like Anub'arak and Ather so I love Heros but lol has a special place in my heart

I played HoTS back in the day and then stopped for about 4/5 years. Feeling the itch, I tried playing a little League and DOTA and... HoTS is plain more fun. If you want to hit skillshots and manage abilities, it's the best game. If you want to time last-hits, play the other games.

The best moba for me. A lot of fun. I started in warcraft 3, but I hated dota. League of Legends were interesting but I got bored after 3 years. Hots.... play it a lot and liked it much! Still wanna return to that game, but I game didn't changed since year and that makes me not gonna play it again.
Playing competitive is much more fun that QM or SL.
By far by a mega ultra longshot my favorite MOBA. Literally have had everything else uninstalled since I got into the beta, any new MOBA or big update I try gets uninstalled and I go back to hots within a couple of days. I really don't know where I would go if servers fully shut down. My biggest dream in life is for it to begun being supported again.

I used to play LoL, now I am really REALLY interested in trying HotS...
Heroes was absolutely the perfect MOBA for me. It just clicked way more than any of the others I tried, from the art style to the heroes and game mechanics. I just reinstalled this morning after several years, hoping it’ll still match my memories of it :)

This reminds me of pickup games in high school. Not a whole lot of strategy, just hooping. I'm sure it helps to have the high map awareness and whatnot from more cerebral and mechanically demanding games like LOL and Dota 2. We all want to win. But this looks like so much fun. Too bad about the toxicity, though. I guess some things are universal

I have been playing lol for 6 year until i finally quit it and started playing hots. The diversity of every match is awesome, every game is different. And also, the comunity is pretty good, i mean they get toxic sometimes but lets be real, in lol 8 of 10 games someone will say really TOXIC shit and everyone will act like its okay. But yea, dont join general chat, its kinda like a 2004 forum or chan where people just vent

I've had a player tilt and announce they'll throw the match (which they sure tried) at second 11. The offence? Healer grabbing vision at the start of the match before the first fight starts. Despite a throwing Kael, we won the match 4v5 though. With how bad HotS players can already be, I have no desire to "go look on lol".

If you ever have trouble dealing with people in the chat, just start responding to everything with "ur mom." It's also worth noting that the tank is not only capable of surviving damage, but typically brings crowd control abilities to affect the enemy team, and help the damages pick up kills. The halers also typically have some crowd control, but it's less universal, and it's not always. Lucio and Morales have very little crowd control, for example, but the reason you pick Brightwing (and dread seeing it on the enemy team) is polymorph. The only other mobas I ever played were Paragon and Smite, so it might not be universal, but I find that the role of Crowd Control is much greater in HotS, which makes sense for a game which wants to reward coordination. Some heros, particularly healers, also have methods of minimizing enemy crowd control, and if you get good at using them, your team will greatly appreciate you. Single actions also seem a lot more impactful; I've seen several team fights won by a single mosh pit or cleanse. I also find that, in comparison to those games, there's actually more variety in builds, because the talents don't just increase or decrease numbers, but interact with your abilities in a way that generic items really can't.

Yes, as I understand, the level of CC on the tanks, and in general is pretty unique to Hots, so it's easy to miss if you pay other Mobas.

The talents are glorious; it feels very different playing E build Ragnaros and meatball build Ragnaros. Several heroes have builds so different from each other they fill entirely different roles in team composition, which makes draft very fun, if you play that mode.

I personally return to HotS ever so slightly. Around every 5 Months I start playing again for some time. I'm not very good at the game, but I love the interweaven mechanics, that make this a lot less frustrating than DOTA2 or LOL. Also the community is a little bit better. Less flaming, also there still is always that guy.
When you follow a different, non competitive way of playing, you just have problems playing with people who only see the victory as desirable. For me the game must be fun, I don't care for winning or loosing. Still HotS has a lot of people who are very competitive, but some of the mechanics help a lot.
Shared XP, means even if you don't participate in every teamfight, as long as you don't AFK, well you help in some way.
It is definetly easier to play, the different maps mean more variety, but you always know how to help your team in some way.
A single player can not carry the whole team, some will disagree, but as I see it, if you don't work together In HotS, well you fucked. This is different in LOL or DOTA2, where there can be a Carry.
Just Teamwork is much more efficient than trying to outplay every enemy and friend.
So, I will install HotS again and go for a few rounds, see you in the Nexus
you really have problems with kaelthas? engage upoh him whit a tank whit cc, get spell armor or armor or both on heroes. have a lot of heroes who have such a good stuf. thycus 7 and 13, artanis 4 and 13, bw has spell armor baseline, but at 13 she can give more. at 16 i believe she has a phase out, that can dodge pyro. just think a bit before you rage. and even if, there are no options, do not rage in general. because if they can make you angry, they becaem your master and you already lost.
or just pick blaze for off lane, and pick bunker. the whole team can click and hide in it so blaze is good against stuff like malthael, kaelthas....
Considering how overwatch 2 is doing, I am quite happy that Blizzard put HOTS in maintenance mode.

This game is a pure gem.
Although having played League of Legends to no end, I recognize how Heroes of The Storm is far superior and probably the best MOBA on the market.
Perhaps what it lacked was more intriguing and fanservice characters: games like Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft are iconic in the world of gaming, and it's been for a very long time, but at the same time you hardly want to play as an old, hairy and ugly man like Genn Greymane or a fat ball with on six legs like Azmodan, or a literal disgusting walking crap like Abathur.
But other than that, it has it all: superior engine/graphics/physics, games are fast-paced as you barely ever have to recall back to base and matches last no more than 15-20mins, characters are super unique in design (Abathur, Cho'Gall, The Three Vikings), are highly customizable and adapt to every match and setup without the need for money and items, every map is unique and objectives always change and are dynamic/fun, secondary camps and objective are meritocratic even in capturing them, rather than just reazling on often RNG last-second steal, the score screen is rewarding and makes you feel like regardless of how the match went, you actually did your part.
Overally I want to repeat how this imo is the best MOBA on the market, and Blizzard really fucked up by discontinuing development and support like this.

I genuinely can't play Stitches with anything other than his teddy bear skin because I can't stand staring at his fat ugly butt for the entire game. The fact that ARAM picks a random skin for you really doesn't help. >_>

Hots is my favorite MOBA. Tried to get into DOTA but my eyes have trouble with that game. Was into LoL for a long, long time but the community is just toxic.
Also tried HoN, Smite, Pokemon Unite, Gigantic and even Demigod way back in 09-10. None of them were as good as HotS in my opinion.

I love Hots but I wouldn't call the community great... I mean, there are some people who are amazing, but the majority is still toxic, even if it's less toxic than, say, league. That said, to anyone who wants get into the game, I really recommend you check youtube channels like grubby, heroes hearth, notparadox or fanhots, and that's because the game does a really poor job at teaching you how to play, sometimes it even teaches the wrong lessons (I'm looking at you, quickmatch). Alternatively, if you don't want to, just understand that fighting 5v5s in the middle lane all the time is a bad idea and it's preferable to instead collect all the exp in the map from minions and camps and then fight for towers or map objectives once you have a lead.
This is true! The community can be very toxic! 😅 I wish it wasn't, but I fear this is fairly common amongst any multiplayer game.

I tell people this everyday, it's still a great game. It has quicker queues than Overwatch 2 QM and ranked for me lol. Overwatch is dead now, WoW is meh...I only really still enjoy Diablo 4 and HOTS. I won't play any other moba, what HOTS did was take everything you want in a game like that, give me my favorite characters and let me just fight. No stupid shop for buy back, instant action, pick a talent and fight. And you're not looking at the same stupid map. No "Im top hyper carry" League bs. It's a team game, you win with your WHOLE team. Even competitive HOTS is just FUN to watch. Blizzard screwed up hard letting this one die. All the skin opportunities, they had the ability to grow with their huge pool of characters. I know it was on an older SC2 engine etc. But no one wanted mobile Diablo, or whatever other game they are developing. I still remember the HOTS announcement trailer... so good.
I will always feel like Blizzard missed out on just updating one of the best casual mobas in existence... I was looking forward to them to create new chars from their new universe...

If one team got a slight lead, and they make no absurd mistake, the match is already settled. If you get a level behind, its already hard to play. if you continue to get behind on xp, well... you just lose

Still playing it almost daily since beta. It's quite enjoyable overall.
And I would say it's variance in maps is one of the leading factors it stays interesting even after such a long time.
Playing for example Summoner's Rift over and over long term, just felt stale and boring to me.
That said. There are certainly some points of frustration in this game for me...
When I played LoL, it was easier for me to feel when I improved as a player. If you do well individually, you can 1v5 the enemy team.
In HotS that is a lot more up in the air, at the mercy of your team, if you will... Which is quite furiating to me at times, even in quick play.
I don't know if the fight went bad because my strategy was entirely poor, or if my team mates just was not able to keep up with a theoretical good play.
Nothing justifies to be toxic, but toxicity tends to just be a result of frustration. And I can see that not being able to identify the problem can lead to that.
And since it's so reliant on team cooperation rather than individual efforts...
It's an unfair disadvantage when the enemy team is joining up all pre-made and I don't have any friends to play with. I really wish you could have a button to disallow matching with anything besides a fair distribution of teams. If your team has 2 + 2 + 1, the enemy team must also have the same pre-made composition. That would be so worth the extra queue times.
Haha, you can definitely sense when the enemy team is always bunching up, never leaving an opening for catching someone off-guard.
It feels like a waste of time playing those matches, it's not fun when you realize your team will be ran over anyways.

The first moba I played was Dota 2, after that I tried Smite, then LoL and lastly Hots. Hots is the only one I really enjoyed and have now spent over 2000 hours in it. A friend of mine will often try to get me to play LoL with him and I usually do but everytime I get reminded of how clunky that game feels in comparison to hots. Saying that I mean how responsive the game feels, movement of characters and such. That is one of the things I whole heartely believe Blizzard is the best at on the market. Haven't played a single game in the same genres as blizzard has game that feels more fluid to play.

lmao i don't tell people to go back to ai matches but a lot of times i accuse teammates of botting and ask for people to report them. a lot of times they are tho and these "people" usually play characters like naz, zagara, azmodan, etc. and all the do is split push solo lane and ignore every objective/teamfight on the map. then if they do speak it's like some broken english sentence that makes no sense to what i say like "i am not ai maybe you."
edit: also KT isn't that bad. unfun heroes to play against are lifers that play Alarak, Zeratul, Medivh, Maiev, Yrel, and Hogger.

Heroes ruined League of Legends for me. I sometimes watch videos of League but they are just so slow paced and a bit boring in comparison to Heroes. In Heroes you actually get action instead of spending 15-20 minutes just poking each other back and forth before you get into any real fights.
Plus League's player base is really toxic, partially due to the game mechanics making you literally compete with your teammates for gold and xp. In Heroes you're encouraged for working together, you never get raged at for "stealing" someone's kills or going into their lane.
I wouldn't even call Heroes simpler than League. League's complexity is in the items and sheer number of heroes, but the maps and actual gameplay are simpler and with only 1 map for the main game mode most matches are pretty similar. In Heroes you have different map objectives, merc camps, and talents that affect your hero's skills.
Heroes is also better balanced. In League there's usually 1 person on each team who gets "fed" and basically goes around 1v3'ing everyone and one shotting people just because the person they were laning against made a few mistakes.
I hope they bring back development on Heroes as it's a much more fun game, for me at least.
(And before anyone comes at me with "lol you just couldn't handle League!" um yes I could, I played a very good Karthus but this was back in like season 3 or 4 or something. I got bored of the game and tired of the toxicity and went back to WoW.)
