    Such likable guys you interview, Mark. It strikes me that these people have done so much in their lives - they're so productive - and I just think about the fact that if you weren't recording them, all of their accomplishments would never be known. You're really good at interviewing them, too, and bringing out the detail. Great to hear these stories, and a learning experience as well. These videos are testimonials to each life.

    STORAGE, yup, did that, but there was a reason. I felt that if after two years of living in the Philippines and I wasn’t going back then get rid of it. $2,500/yr. Storage fees and then donating it all to Goodwill except the fine art. 8 years later , no regrets

  • @marksinger4415
    @marksinger4415 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay… I’m going to ask. What about “final arrangements” ? Do you find that most ex pats want to be laid to rest in the Philippines or do many arrange to be sent back home? I would think that I’d want to be sent back home but I don’t hear very much about it.

    • @DHarri9977
      @DHarri9977 ปีที่แล้ว

      $10,000 or more in shipping, you won't hear much about it. What's the point really? You leave a lot of the nostalgia back where you came from.

    • @marksinger4415
      @marksinger4415 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@DHarri9977 wow! That’s expensive. Maybe that would be my motivation to reconsider. Lol . I just feel that in a way I need to complete the circle and end up where I started. No real explanation as to why. Just my feeling. But 10,000… that’s a big chunk. Maybe someone could put sunglasses on me and prop me up in a plane seat.😁

    There was a time in the 80s when airline pilots were out of work and many were back to flying small planes. My friend died from a bump and scratch from a dishwasher door. We knew a crop dusting pilot who lost his arm from a prop, he kept flying for many years. We used to dive for boom chains
