      Awesome, one that didn't start an OnlyFans just because it's easy to get money. Congratulations for not following the herd mentality, keep it up. Work is hard, but at least you can still get a job if other options don't work anymore, can't say the same for an OF model, once she is out on the public, she is out forever, and finding a job will not be so easy for that kind of woman.

    It was 10 years ago (I was 15) I decided to start working out every day for 365 days (I did 30 mins workouts every day). That was my non-negotiable and that year changed my life. Thank you for your story❤

      Take load off days every 2-3 months though or you are seriously risking a permanent injury. All you do is lift with lightweight for a week, and do stretching exercises. Trust me.

      @@titodel64 hmmm i think i understand your perspective, but in my opinion, rather than “good” times, “comfortable” times can create what you mean by weak (i’m assuming you mean undisciplined) people. good times from my view are times that are enjoyable AND out of your comfort zone enough to develop you as a person.

    Scary how you're describing my situation so accurately, down to the family debt, brain fog, social recluse, and especially not sticking to my workout schedule. If I miss even 1 day in the schedule it quickly turns into an entire week of procrastination.

      That is only human. If you missed a day, do not blame yourself. That is only human. Just do the thing as soon as you can again, get yourself back on track. And sometimes your body needs rest, too, so depending on your workout and who made your schedule, rest days should even be included. No blame, everyone slacks off sometimes. It is only important to get up again and keep doing the thing.

    Ruri, I am on the same boat. I have been consistently been working out for around a year now.
    I've never taken care of myself before, never really cared. The past few years have been the hardest years of my life, yet also the most crucial.
    I have gone through some things that have pushed me to the point where I want to completely change my life and be the most extraordinary version of myself.
    Going to the gym started off slow, felt awkward and uncomfortable, etc.
    However, you must do uncomfortable things and push past fear to get to where you want to be in life.
    You either fight or you die.
    Your channel really inspires me to share my story on TH-cam, I've faced quite a few similar challenges in life myself.
    If you want change, you MUST start somewhere, you have to break through any fear or bad emotions that stand in your way.
    What drains your potential and strength is your own self doubt. Don't listen to it.

    Great video Ruri, as a person who has also struggled with adhd and depression it really resonates with me. Working out and exercising consistently really changed my life and mindset and even though I have less time to do other stuff now I feel like I have more because of the discipline and structure I’ve gained. And just feel much happier overall and enjoy life more. Really agree with you on this and thank you for sharing your story!

    My life changed when I started to view working out / exercising as MORE than just looking better. Surprisingly the biggest impact it had on me was to my mental health. Like you mentioned, it's a dopamine hit. But it also clears my head of all my thoughts and anxiety for that moment.

      I liked how Ruri referred to the elliptical as “walking”, because I personally hate actual walking!! Will try to find a more convenient gym so that I can go on more workouts. 😊

      Reality after 4 consistent years mentally dependence on the gym, voices dont go away anymore, commitment to pain, tren, anadrol, hopefully no caffein addiction

    I appreciate your videos for always being inspirational and motivational. You have a very charismatic aura and energy, and I'm happy to hear you got into weight training. Resistance training does so many great things for the body that cardiovascular does not. It's a wonderful way to keep yourself young and healthy.     I've been working out and going to the gym for over 20 years. I always tell people who are beginners to not be intimidated because we all started the same way. Everyone's goals are different so go at your own pace. You'll eventually gain more confidence over time with consistency and determination. The gym and working out is my safe haven.

    Thanks for the support! I also struggle with depression and anxiety, and I know exercising helps cope with it, but I keep postponing it everyday, due to the lack of motivation. Listening to your journey inspired me and gave me hope that it is never to late to start. 😊

    3:05 To expand on that a little more, a big reason why getting sunlight early helps with depression, is that your body is conditioned to release serotonin with light, suppress melatonin production and increase cortisol (mild stress hormone, but good for you in healthy amounts). Additionally, it will help regulate your rest and wake cycles. Consistent sleep is huge for overall mood. Great video Ruri, to go through what you had to is very difficult i'm sure. New Sub! おめでとう!

    Great video. In 2017 I was 300 lbs. (136 kg). In the first year I dropped about 60 lbs through fasting and working out. As I progressed I dropped fasting for being more active and eventually got down to 200 lbs. (90 kg). It was very important for me to not overhaul my life all at once. I was able to make some pretty drastic changes in the beginning but not everyone is capable of that. There was a point where I was losing weight and eating a pint of ice cream every single day. Eventually I realized I was just going through the motions and not even enjoying it anymore. It's a night and day difference of where I started to where i am today with my overall fitness and life style choices and I think that what really helped is I didn't try to 180 any big changes over night I took a long road to success. I'd encourage anybody wanting to make a change to try their best every day and realize that your best today may not be your best tomorrow or the day after that. You don't need to kick all your bad habits all at once, but you should always be focused on taking the path to change your life in a positive way even if it's only a little bit at a time.

    Workout! I started small. Now I’m at 30 push-ups and 120 weighted sit ups. And I walk 4 miles on the treadmill every weekday among other things, I’m happy 😊 even though I can’t walk unassisted on my own, yet. Bless you 🙏

    I can literally sign every single thing of what you said. Went through a pretty similar journey during the last half year and especially my adhd, depressive episodes and not feeling able to do just about anything got so much better because of my regular workouts. glad you had such positive experiences and shared them with us 🙏🙏

    There are only so many people i can watch talk about evercise, and apparently you are one of them. I was officailly diagnosed with fibromyalgia yesterday and have been recomended to up my daily exercise and this is honestly inspiring and the timing was perfect, so thank you for making and posting this.

    I have depression episodes and lost control over my life. Ever since I started going to the gym 3 times a week (and went on a diet) over a year a go, got myself a personal coach, I have lost 15+ kg of body fat, got a lot stronger and my stress levels went significantly down, so physical activity is extremely important when you have depression or you're close to developing this mental condition. So high 5 to you Ruri :)

It's such a weight having depression. Coupled with a neurodivergent brain (I relate) it can be a spiral and a situation that's difficult to navigate. All of this along with the personal/family issues you were faced with must have been so overwhelming, sapping all of your energy. I am sorry for these struggles and glad you made it through, but as you said - this made you in a way! You can see that you are a determined, strong and capable individual.
    I'm in a place where I am working on so many aspects of my life and improving steadily. What you said is so apt. In today's society, we often misinterpret progress as this linear thing. It's not. We sometimes have to go backwards or sidestep in order to progress. And that's OKAY!
    I love your content and you have been a staple of my self improvement, studying and inspiration for a few years now. I thank you sincerely. It makes me feel like I can do it too :) Love you lots!

    It's great to see people opening up, this was such a taboo subject in my generation! I am 48, and weigh about 10 lb more than I did 20 years ago (now 135-140lb, i'm 5'4), and I am much happier with my body now than when I was 20 years ago. I have kids and a full time desk job, and working out regularly is what keeps my sanity and keeps me going!

    its definitely true that you dont need to workout super hard but if you push past limits(physically and mentally) you can grow as person way easier than if you stayed in your comfort zone. thats why i go to the gym and train until muscular failure and go to a fighting school where i continue even if my whole body hurts

    I had to stop working out after one year of doing so every day because of an injury and I felt my mind floating with depressed and anxious thoughts again and again during the time I couldn't move. I feel into old bad habits like chronic procrastination and rumination, all of that just to realize how exercising is now a primordial thing to keep my mind sane.

    I used to exercise about six days a week, but not for the past couple years. I've been withering away and loosing good muscle weight.
    That brain fog you talk about is so true! It truly is an ADD/ADHD thing.

    As someone who has been exercising everday since I was 16 (I'm 26 now), I can say it makes a massive difference to your life.
    Apart from strengthening your muscles and increasing your stamina and resistance, it also boosts your metabolism, so you burn calories quicker, but more importantly, you feel more active and energetic and not lazy or lethargic.
    The discipline also helps you in all other aspects of your life. On top of that, you become more self-confident and proud of your body because you can see the results of your hard work.
    Nope, I don't go to the gym, nor do I have a lot of continuous free time. I work out in small, 5 to 10 minute sessions and do multiple ones a day, e.g. 2 sets in the morning, 2 at night. Or 1 in the morning, afternoon and evening.
    Flexibility is key, especially if uou are still living with your family/roommates and don't have the time, money or freedom to go to the gym and exercise.
    14:00 Ironically enough, I was born and raised in Dubai, and yes, it's extremely hot because it's literally the f***ing desert.
    But I used to always play football everyday for 2 hours after school. Even after I started university and didn't have time, I still went for walks every morning. I would cover around 4½ km in 45 minutes. I would literally keep my shoes next to my bed at night, then wake up, drink water, poo and go for a walk first thing in the morning around 6:15 to 7 am.

      i was athlete, i went through depressive "episode" since 2019 and i'm fat, i'm 6'4 and 240lbs, i'm far from obese because im strong and tall, even with sedentarism, but i never felt my body uglier.
      I just dont have energy to cook (what i used to love), i have no energy to sleep early because im having anxiety and poor sleep, in morning i have no energy to get up at all, i just never felt worse before, and eat on deficit and workout everyday while i dont have energy to get up seens unreachable to me and idk what to do. Any advice?

    Hi Ruri, Thank you so much for this video! I thought it was excellent & on point in all areas. I think your video (I have only watched part of one of your other videos thus far) will certainly help a lot of people so I am really glad quality content such as this is out there.
