"We have never seen anything like this." And this was not a direct hit except the big bend. And when the next one comes, people will still not listen and leave.
Seriously. The words for what ppl there are experiencing are more like; depressing, disgusting, hideous, grim. Idt I could do it. To deal with it every day, it will take a year or more for normalcy. Life is hard enough then lose it all. 😢 I can’t imagine the struggle. I live in SE Fla. I know it can happen to me too. I don’t have the resources to recover from a flood. I rent. Not sure if the gov will have the aid for citizens to come. Disasters are happening repeatedly everywhere, every year.😢
This Florida experiment is not going so well, bought a house here and got hit by Ian 3 months later was no fun, now having major second thoughts about this.
Correct but definitely the majority or anyone on or close to water did you watch the video? Nuff said now wait for your insurance to skyrocket so we can payout all these waterfront insurance claims
Did you not hear the fact that they’ve lived in the house for 47 years? Many people have lived in these homes their whole lives and not because they’re “rich” but because they started their roots here before it became a tourist town. Very ignorant comment.
Not all who live by the water live in big fancy homes..... There's plenty of average, broke people that have been so affected. Get a life and have some compassion. Wish we were all as perfect as you.
OMG IT'S MRS TSONGRANIS!!! I remember her from being my teacher in school. How crazy! I'm sorry she's having to go through that!
Do you know if Tarpon Springs was affected by Milton? I love that piece of Greece in the Caribbean.
@@josevilas4927 Unfortunately it did. I haven't been able to check around yet but Tarpon got a lot of rain and wind
@@josevilas4927Unfortunately it was hit.
We are praying for you all! I miss my hometown!

Nope. The idiots will still rebuild before the next hurricane
Here it comes again.
Every community is “tight knit” and “resilient!” TV speak!

My neighbors are not friendly and helpful. They are very mean and would be clapping as I wash down the flood path.

They're supposed to evacuate those places near the gulf during a hurricane.
You say people never seen anything like this before, huh.
Well, It's going to get worse over time.
Much worse.
Don’t live in the Carolina’s either.
Helene will go down as the most expensive hurricane in history.

I've never been to Florida. I don't understand the appeal it has for so many. Different strokes for different folks.
Floriduh

He not Louisiana they both hit us!

Buildings near the water shouldn’t exist in this area. There’s a reason private insurance companies won’t cover flood damage.
Shocking? Humbling? How about F’n depressing and disgusting. 😢
Rich man storm rich man problems anyone who lives on near the water has lots of money they will be ok
You sound bitter This storm didnt just effect those on the coast or "rich people".
How about the towns in NC and TN?

She seems tipsy
Could be the delusion after not sleeping for days and loosing everything
Even if she is I don’t blame her
She seems like a cool person.
