Palermo Trams | Part 1/2

AMAT, the public transit operator in Palermo , operates a total of four tram lines in the city in addition to a network of bus routes. Line 1 runs for about 5½ kms from Stazione Centrale (main railway station) southeast to Rossella where the Forum Palermo shopping mall is located.
The other three tram lines terminate at Notarbartolo which is also served by the underground "Metropolitana" railway line from Centrale to Giachery. The other terminating points for Lines 2 (route length 4.8 kms) and 3 (route length ca 5 kms) are located at Borgo Nuovo and CEP respectively.
Line 4 runs from Notarbartolo upto Corso Calatafimi (ca 4.2 kms route length) along the busy Viale della Siciliana bypass road.
