Just picked this up alongside cloud water, Verdant and Donzoko festbiers from Seven Cellars in Brighton. Shout out to them for always having a great selection. Already tried the cloud water, and for something on the lower side of the Festbier abv, it tasted fantastic. Definitely leaning more toward the Marzen. Now onto the lost and grounded, it’s fantastic. Beautiful clarity, great aroma, dangerously sessionable. Got high hopes for Verdant and Donzoko!
When you guys go quiet I know the beer is great 🤣 Festbier with English hops? I'm thinking a step too far but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Excellent video guys.
Last year during your “drinking all six official Oktoberfest beers!” Episode you commented that Hofbräuhaus also had an almond / marzipan flavor - aroma
They should look into the cascade hops that are being produced in Australia. Tree house brewing filmed a trip to the hop farms in Australia and New Zealand and just loved the cascade hops they grew. They shipped it home and are brewing with it.
How are the glasses and T’s 🥳👌🏼 this video made me thirsty haha love the Collabs, wish I wasn’t living down under right now I would be all over that Fest Bier! Well done, chefs kiss
Absolutely loved this film. Lost & Grounded are the best at what they do. Keller Pils is the best British brewed lager. Wasn't able to make it last Saturday to sample the Festbier. I have been able to get hold of six cans of Festbier direct from the brewery before it sold out. Prost!
My question is, will you ever make another batch of "The Time is Now"...I cycled an hour in the rain to pick up a box from the Meantime brewery, but bloody hell was it worth it 🤤
Loved this beer on Saturday and very much looking forward to my can turning up from the Malt Miller tomorrow. What English hops were you thinking of using? I could imagine something like East Kent Goldings working well for that honey and spice character.
Nice guys! I live in Veneto Italy so this brewery has been on my bad list for a while. Here I can find old Citra Mosaic ipa and uninteresting porter going old on the shelf sadly. Good to know they have a great philosophy and the lagers are great. Nothing we can do about the storage and distribution but I will check them out UK side fresh!
Always hard to judge export breweries but it seems they looked after them you'd find L&G make sensational lagers and great ales too - though mostly of the Belgian persuasion.
My issue with festbier is I'm always so busy drinking the pils and helles I brewed in April/May that I forget to brew a Fest/Marzen in June/July. So by the time the really good commercial festbiers come out (early August!? come on) it's already too late.
Great show lads, but should come with warning: Viewing might cause serious case of Lager-itus. Symptoms include searching high and low for proper tasting lagerery goodness. Symptoms will persist when patient discovers there's no lager in the house. A cup of tea, while a remedy for most ailments, has now been proven to have no effect in alleviating this affliction. 😥

Wow good memory! Going to dig into what it is that creates the aroma

I would argue a very strong case for Braybrooke when it comes to British brewed lagers!
This one was very tasty no tap on saturday

Will any of your anniversary beers be available in the Netherlands? Or maybe shipping to the Netherlands? Would absolutely love to taste some them!
I'm afraid I am not sure - if you see any of the breweries over there regularly then there's a good chance. They were all full batches!
@@TheCraftBeerChannel Need a cold shipped palate of everything sent to Australia too please :D
Really digging this! Back again on my friday moment, grilling vegan burgers for my wife and I, drinking Duvel Tripel hop. Cheers to this lads 🍻

The Bristol accent is apparently pretty close to the American accent.
Ha - you've got two londoners and an Aussie in this video.
@@TheCraftBeerChannel LOL I’m bad at this.
