…Oy! That GREEN! My 1972 280 SEL 4.5 in white has given me so much joy since I was 16 back in 1985 from my late Grandfather. Got to say, just fine, fine, FINE both Car and the man behind it.
Saw a ‘72 like this in white at the Seal Beach show last month. An original sub 100k miles, body interior 4.5 bomber. The transmission even shifts so tight and crisp like the Autobahn King it was! Love the period green and leather here!
I'm already envious of whoever gets to own this. Here in Prague, and my home town ( Dublin ), garaged parking is a problem. And nobody in their right might would street park this. If I build a garage, eventually Dean will get my money for something like this. All the best a "hezky den !" as they say here ( "have a great day" )
What is funny to me is that the passenger side door mirror was an extra cost option on most cars. It is one of the things on my "End of the line" '76 Valiant sedan that makes me believe the line workers just threw parts on it as production was ending. V8, HD cooling, HD suspension, handling package, 12" rotors on front, map light, carpet, passenger door mirror, ticket light (?) between the visors, and a certified speedo. It's a low-line car, "Custom" trim level Gorgeous Benz, back when these cars were deserving of their reputation. Nowadays? Ha! DW even did an episode on German 'quality' and they had engineers & restorers on and they blasted German automakers for their junk quality
Cognac? This is not reddish brown, as with Cognac. Mercedes-Benz were using a very supple , perforated leather, when this model was being made. The seats in this model, very much appear to be, what they called at the time, Mercedes-Benz Tax, as in textile. It used to age much better, as these seats have also. Are you happy to say how much you are asking for?
Nothing says refined monied set like this car. Nothing. The blingy garbage classless SUVS off today are like a 4th place finish at Belmont compared to this. True elegance and refinement.
Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is beyond beautiful. When Mercedes were literally the very best cars money could buy.
In some ways they are still the best cars money can buy.
Wow. Stunning! I'll say it again: "They don't build them like this anymore."
This is stunning car. Excellent color combination .
Words don’t do justice, a design leader that stands the test of time.
Gorgeous, like a piece of fine handmade furniture
Hi 👋 Beautiful Mercedes Benz. The interior is stunning as well as the condition of the whole car. It must be nice to drive.

There was still the 6.3 during 1972 - the real flagship. 4.5 was the second best of the W109. Wonderful car, in one of the best color combinations!!!
Beautiful classic M Benz ! Mike from Missouri
Had to watch this in stages. Beautiful thing.
My dream car.
