My favorite way to stay cool in the summer is spending a day nearby the river, although this year's July is pretty cold and rainy, so there is no need to go to the river, water is all around. Once again thank you for the lesson, I got such a good time watching it.
Hello to both of You. I live in the Basque Country in France. For two weeks, there has been a heatwave and it has been approximatively 40° celsius . I am on holiday so I have been going to the beach every day with sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, the more important, a sun umbrella, water. Before going to the beach, above all, I don't forget to close the blinds of my flat. I don't have a car anymore but, for those who have one, it's better to park it in the shade or put a towel on the wheel. And, when I come back, I put a lot of coco oil on my skin.
Huge thanks from Ukrainian in Wales. Jack! You are doing useful things for English learners. Cheers for that mate. By the way this year in the UK the weather is boiled. So, icetea is appropriate here.
my favorite way to stay cool in the summer is by taking a shower and having some ice juice, and I didn't know any vocabulary words that you mentioned. thank you for the lesson.
Hi Jack! This's indeed lovely and full fun of lesson. Thank you both for sharing it with us. So now going back to Kate's questions. My little son and I are spending most of the time in our swimming pool whenever there're hot days here in Poland. We found it cool and enjoying as long as we can. When it comes to vocabulary Kate's listed most of the phrases are familiar to me except squeezing and shades which I'm now aware too.
In the summer I have a lot of activities. But to stay cool , I would have something to drink. Like lemonade ..... Or I would go to the pool. I was impressed with your clip . sometime I'm depressed because I don't know what I'm gonna do next .
Thank you so much to both of you! For a beautiful video I really enjoyed and learnt. But plz tell me something about the very first phrase that mam used she said we are "going to be going over" I couldn't get it coz I have often heard " going to do something" so plz help me to understand it..
There's a heatwave across Europe I think that you've already heard about that so for the record I'm suffering a lot from Spain hahaha Thank you for the conversation It's incredibly helpful!!
Nice guys, I really love your videos...on the description you have written put off sunglasses...I'd be put on and take them off right?? 😋 and...I'm from Barcelona and we say here, "ola de calor" is the same that you said but in Spanish...and my prefer way to fight against the high temperatures are the swimming pools and beaches...sorry if I had some mistake in my comment 😅 maybe is strange but I feel more comfortable speaking instead writing...good job guys!! Cheers
have you got a video that explains why some brits say "me" instead of "my"? I'm living in Newcastle for 7 months now and completely clueless where that came from... hahah
It was a great video but when you two talk to each other you speak low and she speaks even lower than he. I couldn't hear the two questions she asked, also because of some noise I think. You are very nice. Thank you.
I found this phrase new to me, I haven't heard it before. As well as the phrase - to kick a bucket. Well, the best way to escape the heat is to swim a lot and leave water rarely
I do not want to sound rude, but would it be possible for you to find an interlocutor whose accent is more, well, compatible with yours? This lady is really charming, of course, but for language learners who want to follow a certain pronunciation pattern mixing two very different accents might turn out a little confusing.

It used to be a lower-class thing (last time I checked, at least :-); it is easier and faster to say "me" instead of saying a full and clear "my".
Thank you, glad to learn more
