Hampi, also referred to as the Group of Monuments at Hampi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in east-central Karnataka, India. It became the centre of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire capital in the 14th century. Chronicles left by Persian and European travellers, particularly the Portuguese, state Hampi was a prosperous, wealthy and grand city near the Tungabhadra River, with numerous temples, farms and trading markets. By 1500 CE, Hampi-Vijayanagara was the world's second-largest medieval-era city after Beijing, and probably India's richest at that time, attracting traders from Persia and Portugal.The Vijayanagara Empire was defeated by a coalition of Muslim sultanates; its capital was conquered, pillaged and destroyed by sultanate armies in 1565, after which Hampi remained in ruins.

We are really lucky to have heirs of Vijyanagara empire now. None of prevailing rich royal dynasties of India are comparable to Vijayanagara empire. Their contribution, service to India is immense. They are pride of India. Kudos to Krishna Devaraya for trying to live upto his forefathers reputation.

Vijayanagara Dynasty along with the Marathas prevented the Mugal invasion of central and South India and preserved Hinduism. In the 14th century, Hampi was the second biggest city in the world.We MUSt preserve our heritage

fake stroy ,,there is no 1 proof 1 inscription monuments to prove Tenali ramakrishna was in Hampi in krishnadevaraya court .. we find tenali ramakrishna and other telugu scholars ashtadiggaja inscription in tippalur village cudapah district of andrapradesh near chandra giri tirupati 400 kms far from hampi , they were in king venkatapati raya court 1596 to 1614 ad .
amukta malyada and rayavachakamu books are related to king venkatapati raya .
there are 12 proof to prove above statement , tenali rama krishna and other telugu scholars mention about Raja guru Lakshmi kumara thatacharya , you might have seen in tenali rama movie and stories a brahman who always had argument with tenali rama krishna , this raja guru lakshmi kumara thatacharya inscriptions also dates to 1590 to 1625 AD , he has built many lakes ponds temples .
there is toomuch politics truth is hidden , vijayanagara empire history or karnataka history is been edited by telugus with help of britishers . pre independence madras presidency chief ministers from 1920 to 1953 were telugus appointed by britishers . first chief ministers of karnataka and tamil naadu were telugus appointed by britishers . if we check british army police forest department documents we see only telugu officers names , feudalism was a great success in andra pradesh , british used tleugus to loot south india . even tirupati was managed by tamil iyyangars from 10th century to early 19th century but british made tirupati trust and appointed loyal telugus who honestly transfered wealth to british govt . sarvapalli radhakrishna , sarojini naidu , neelam sanjeeva reddy , kc reddy ,many telugu politicians represented south india from 1930 to 1955 british agents. school history text books sylabus history documentaries were framed by sarvapalli radhakrishna and team . so telugus have edited history as they want .

Majesty Sir has told very true. For eg in india people love speaking in english though they have same mothertongue. Once you come out from india to europe like Italy, Germany, Spain or France then you will realise why not use your own mother tongue like Kannada, malayali, tamil or gujurati. They will automatically speak in their own language when you are in non english speaking country.

We all family members visited Hampi (December 2020) . I have seen cremation place of our great King Shri Krishna Dev Rai also. Please tell royal family members to approach Government (and Tourism Department) to develop that place upto the reputations of our honourable Krishna Dev Rao ji.

Sri Krishna devaraya wrote Amukta malyada in Sanskrit and was scholar in Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada. His heir lineage do not know reading these languages even.
Moral- even kings lineage could not escape Macaulay.

It's a fake story, after the defeat the kingdom was burnt and ppl were killed most of them hide themselves in the near by jungle today it's known as hosapete, there is no prof or record for his claim

@@subhashnayak695 Well but vijayanagara empire was born out of ruins and ashes of hosyala and kakatiya kingdom's and by the generals of hosyala empire bukka raya and harihara raya who were converted by ulugh khan as muslims after being captured in muslim invansion in either warrangal or tungabhadra region. But it was after the both were re-converted to hinduism by saint vidyaranya and inspired and told to fight the muslim invasion of south india and then out of this theory of hindu swarajya was born the famed and powerful vijayanagara empire like a small light in the midst of darkness of Islamic sultanates surrounding all over India. The hindavi swarajya theory borne by shivaji inspired by saint tukaram was not new in south it was first profounded by saint vidyaranya to harihara raya the founder of vijayanagara empire. Now vijayanagara empire defend the south India from muslim invasion and attack atleast for a century or more before being destroyed in the battle of talikota but you must know that maratha's under shivaji visited the ruins of vijayanagara empire like a pilgrimage and vowed to reestablish the hindavi swarajya ultimately a new hindu power emerged again from the ruins of vijayanagara as maratha empire. You must also know that maratha's specially shivaji and his bhonsale clan were none other than the generals of the yadavas of devagiri before deccan sultanates came into deccan region. You can see one hindu power declined than a new power emerged from it's ruins to pick up the fallen flag of dharma. The biggest thing is dharma was kept alive by the great sages and saints who inspired warrior's and king's to fight for the cause of hindu's and dharma against mleccha's. Even in north India Sisodiya clan's great great ancestor Bappa Rawal or Kalbhoja was inspired and asked by the great sage guru gorakhnath to fight mleccha's. What more even prithviraj chauhan was inspired by one of hindu saints who had asked udal to spare prithviraj chauhan when the later was wounded so that fight against the mleccha's be continued. Finally Vijayanagara empire was created out of ruins of Kampii kingdom the last save portion of hosyala kingdom after all three kakatiya, pandya and hosyala kingdom were destroyed by muslim attack. And the vijayanagara empire emerged out of the ruins of kampii exactly 8 year's later. There was a record of mass jauhar in kampii along with the record of the severed head of a hindu king in the battle by the muslims.
Nothing to be told more. The process was never ending all kingdom's and warrior's died giving their blood generation after generation and dynasty after dynasty but it was same and they never let the flag of dharma die or down they picked it again and again. It was over 1000 year's and 2000 year's in north India and now only 75 year's has passed scince british rule. Never criticize the warrior's. For they sacrificed their lives for which your generations are alive today.

In addition to preserving, continue to work on excavating the past. ASI has lot more work to do. I would also suggest to create a 3D Hampi that shows the glorious structures prior to its destruction. Dhanyavad and good wishes from an NRI. A visitor center needs to be setup and there should be that 3D show.

hampi are in kannada language remaining in sanskrit tamil and very few in telugu . 3) krishnadevaraya son was poisoned when he was 6 years old he had two daughters . 3) krishnadevaraya was succeeded by his younger brother achyuta devaraya and achyuta devaraya was suceeded by his son sadashiva raaya 4) sadashiva raya 13 years very young king was sent to prison by krishnadevaraya son in law aliya ramaraya and took throne from him so telugu part starts from here i will elaborate more about aliya ramaraya in last . 5) we can find kannada scholars mantapas inscriptions in hampi example vyasaraja mantapa , purandara daasa mantapa , kanakadasa mantapa but not even one telugu scholar mantapa not even inscriptions are carved about them in hampi . 6) krishna devaraya inscriptions in in nellore fort( after defeating orissa king gajapati ) and tirupati and gold coins donated to tirupati had kannada inscriptions ................ krishnadevaraya conquers andra region from orissa king gajapati to controll the vast province he encouraged telugu literature and culture he even gave his daughter to telugu chieftain in his army aliya ramaraya , appointed telugu people as adminstration officers . after death of krishnadevaraya aliya ramaya dethrones sadashiva raya and becomes king with help of telugu administrative officers in the court , son in law aliya ramaraya words had commanding power in palace he kicks out rajaguru saint vyasa raja teerta and all kannada scholars purandara daasa and kanaka daasa we get 40 such krutis where purandara daasa warns aliya ramaraya about down fall of hindu kingdom bcz of aliya ramaraya foolish behaviour ... aliya ramaraya excludes kannadigas in his palace and includes telugu people this enrages kannada provinces they declare independence so karnata samrajya breaks into peaces ,,, its just like chandrababu naidu succeeding ntr name fame not letting ntr son to become powerful . so hampi palace became disputed places among royal families . at this time bijapur sultans declared war aliya ramraya went to rakkasa tangadagi war with his trusted telugu speaking army and very easily without bloodshed war ended aliya ramaraya was easily killed ,,,. and telugu people aliya ramraya relatives administrative officers in hampi took wealth and fled to different part of andra region aliya ramraya sucessors took shelter in pennukonda and started ruling vijayanagara empire sorry this name is given by britishers and telugu historians , there is no 1 inscription which mentions the empire as vijayanagara all inscriptions mention the empire as KARNATA SAMRAJYA . vijayanagara empire was broken into pieces by telugu aravidu kings and bijapur sultan alliance this is bitter truth . in 1542 AD krishnadevaraya successor kannada last king achyuta devaraya was killed by aravidu and bijapur army . krishnadevaraya son in law aliya ramaraya backstabed hampi king achyuta devaraya . bijapur sultans made ramaraya as hampi king . after this incident kannada small rullers kings who were loyal to krishnadevaraya declare independence they didnt accept ramaraya as king , important province like mysore wodeyars , magadi chitradurga provinces palegars became independent in 1545 ad . in rakkasa tangadi war in 1565 ad kannada provinces didnt participate in war . war was between aravidu telugu kings and united muslim sultans alliance easy win for muslim nawabs and sultans .
