Here is how I decorated my basement for my daughters 13th birthday glow party!
I had a lot of fun planning and decorating for this party.
In this video I share with you what I got using items from the Dollar tree.
The orange, pink, yellow and green gift bows worked really well under Black light and they were an inexpensive way to decorate. They came in a pack of two.
I also used a pack of green, yellow and orange neon balloons from the dollar tree that also worked really well. The white balloons did not do so well under black light. But you could use neon tape to decorate the balloon and it should work really nice too!

Color me impressed with these awesome colors. I don't know how it took so long to discover that blacklights combine two of my favorite things: the color purple and glow-in-the-dark. This video will inspire me to have some serious ultraviolet fun, and also to try being a great parent. Apparently my dad would have been 59 on Monday--his parents said that to me the other day and it was weird to imagine. Life is truly a gift. Anyway, cool vid!

Tips:
-Use masking tape
-Buy larger paper not small ones you’ll be taping less

Thank you so much for this video. My girlfriends youngest just brought the idea up last night for her 14th b-day. Obviously some ideas are common sense. But It is great to see how things might be set up or items and colors that just will or won't work. It looks like a very beautiful set up you have made and looks FUN. My girl is also a "Supermom". She needs more help with stuff than she can admit. I get quite exited and energetic to set these things up while she will get stressed and wore out. lol. ▪Glow in the dark bubbles.
▪Home made glow in the dark Twister, you can do it with glow paper or just painting normal ones.
▪Playing with Orbeez, actually this is very funny, throwing them to your friends.
▪If your idea is a "only white clothes" you can put glow up paint in them, and have all of them signed it or draw.
▪Paint some plastic glasses and a ball, the person that gets more balls in the glasses wins!

I tried a lot of things from this video. I wouldn’t suggest covering the poster board in contact paper. It’s time consuming, can get expensive depending on how many posters you’re using, and doesn’t help the poster to stand up to people dancing on it. We still had to throw it all away after the party. Your best bet is to just put down the poster board as is or spray it with a clear varnish so it’s a little more resistant. I used black gaffer tape to tape it to a sealed cement floor and had zero issues with sticky residue. The neon food powder is amazing. I made the mistake of getting a supposedly neon gel food coloring and it was useless. Definitely use the powders instead.

Gaffer Tape is good to use. It's flat black and is duct tape like, but leaves no residue.

Any chance you have laminated some neon paper or poster board? Does it still glow under uv light? I want to laminate the paper neon cake topper, but I'm afraid to ruin it.
It should still glow under the black light. I used clear contact paper
