I had the same problem with the suction type of hooks! Mine did not stay up, I guess the suction didn’t want to work. Finally put small hooks in and it worked well. Plus they’re small when I do take them out after Christmas the hole isn’t big and you hardly notice it!
Love your garland archway and stairway, absolutely beautiful! In fact, your whole house looks gorgeous! You put such love into your decorations and everything you do for your family that it warms my heart!

I’m a carer in a retirement home and we had hand bell ringers, ring the bells to Christmas Carols. And of course, we all sang along, which the residents thoroughly enjoyed! Myself included!

Hi Donna! I didn’t use suction cups, those never work for me. Command hooks usually work amazing for me, but I think the paint I have on the walls was kind of powdery and that’s why I had trouble this time. That sounds like so much fun!! Merry Christmas!

I am never sure if you have brought the swan table back, or if I am watching a past video. To me the table best fit the size and space of the foyer. With the arched ,distressed mirror and the two potted trees ... it was my favorite of all your styling. It is the most unique piece I have seen in anyone's home. Love the way all the swags turned out. And I love the wooden shoes on the shelf.

I like the foyer because it’s winter wonderland… you can keep that decor into February!! I feel like your foyer brown rounded table would be gorgeous with a simple white/silver longish table cloth :))).
Hello! Thank you!! I did have a tablecloth on it before, but it felt too formal for me. I tend to take my decor down right after Christmas just to get a clean state again.

As you saw, I had my struggles with it at first. The last time I put garland around our archways, it held much better.
Meh! Too much that it looks too messy and just full of clutter. Sometimes less is more. Sorry!
If you’re talking about last year, then yes, it was too much for my liking now. This year with the garland around the archways, just the perfect amount 😀
@@oldmaplehome Actually I like the garland too. I was talking about the trees in the entry way. Just my opinion, I think entry ways need to be functional and clutter free. I love decorating but if I can't even put keys on my console table then it's just not functional anymore. But if it works for you then that's fine too right. Also I fell inlove with your red traditional tree last year, I thought it was dreamy.
