Jon, you should take a trip up to Atikokan in Ontario, Canada and fish the lakes around it. Specifically Crooked Pine Lake and Lake Sapawe. The smallmouth fishing is unreal. 5+ lb smallies everywhere. And on Lake Sapawe, the boat ramp is at the end of a deep creek with reeds on each side that snakes its way up into the mouth of Lake Sapawe. And you can just look down and see huge smallies swim underneath you in the creek cuz it's crystal clear water. And you just throw a whopper plopper and they smack them all day long in that creek. And the mouth of the Lake is another story.

As much as you love fishing and catching different species of fish, try eating some of them. Enjoy both sides of fishing. I enjoy catch and cook. I believe it helps you appreciate the fish in more ways than just catching. Keep up the good work man. You never know where this will take you in life.

Bass Fishing Legends Never Die!
This channel is great. We need two a days.
Cut them in big chunks with the skin on, season with some salt and pepper, deep fried them and top with lime. You will not regret it. Also in Venezuela we make a Peacock ceviche when we go fishing but it has to be just caught and under the lime for at least 4-6 hours, unlike salt water fish, it's just to kill any possible parasites (always use fish around 1-2 pounds, never above that). It's so delicious
