    2. Do you have issues with mosquitoes in the water tank?
    3. Is this an NFT method or a type of DWC? i ask because the water pressure seems high for NFT.

    • @DIYGARDENWITHBB

The brown balls is a clay pebbles , you can use lava rock or Hydroponic sponge , it's a grow media to support the plants and provide Darkness to the roots , yes you need to add Hydroponic liquid fertilizer to the water .
Hydroponic is simple just provide the required nutrition and oxygen in the water .

The hard work you are doing in hydrophonics is appreciable .
At the same time if you think over expenses u e will be suufiicient to do three to five times more agriculture in openland.
The neutrients and natural elements will be abundant in the crop grown on land than any hydrophonics and midde thotas.
The will stick to legs and hands but the satisfaction and economics will be more.
So it left to thinkers and a suggetion only.not discouraging..

Ooof, this stuff is way harder than it looks. Careful so the clay pebbels don't get in the water, cause then the pH goes high n everything turns yellow (using perlite instead is recomendable). Also it is worth mentioning that the pipes get insanely heavy when filled with water, and the water needs to be a certain hight for tiny new things to reach it with their roots. There also need to be a certain angle on the pipes, so the water doesn't build up too much and the shelves (or whatever you use) crash down and break, and I'm not certain about this angle yet, but using PVC to hold up the pipes looks really risky and unstable (especially on only 4 legs like that). Also if you are doing this in an area were you don't wanna spill water, it is worth concidering that the "bucket" needs to be able to hold considerably more amounts of water in order to at some point drain the pipes. The "bucket" should also be covered so no light comes through to the water, as this would cause algeas to grow in it. Having a way to drain the "bucket" easily, might also prove to be handy.
